DC Collectibles for August 2017

BTAS 5 pack
Surely the 5 figures shown will be available to buy separately from one another? I love Bane, Croc, Freeze and Ivy but I really don't want Montoya!
|
I would like to get this, however that's alot for 5 figures.

Heh. That's why they do it. So that if you want any of those figures you have to buy all five of them. As for me, I do want them all, but I don't like that I'm being forced to buy them all at the same time. That's a hefty purchase.
|
i would get these figures immediately if sold alone , it even works out cheaper ... i.e £20 for a single TAS a £100 for the set , the cardboard light up gimmick is just terrible and kinda a waste of time if your nor MOC collector , and a way to get your money more... which you make for less.
I suppose you can display them , but they need to have really good accessories. Montoya is my least favorite out of that set |
Damn, this reduced articulation is really killing my enthusiasm for this line.
I would be all over these figures, but No one with ankle pivot, freeze with no torso/waist twist, and croc with no knees (again!?) Yeah, I'm gonna pass. : / |
That's a pretty cool idea for different versions of the ones they already released. However, does this mean they won't come with accessories?
Wait a minute, does Killer Croc not have knee articulation? |
If you get the photo at full size you'll see Croc knees articulations.
Anyway, TAS Poison Ivy & Montoya are 2 of my most wanted figures, so I might get this pack. Love the Breyfogle Batman, very classic! |

Also, I'm kind of okay with the lack of torso articulation with Mr. Freeze. It's kind of a limitation of the suit more than a lack of effort on their part. Edit: Ok, I see what you're saying Startaiger. It's just really well hidden articulation. |
Love the figures! It really comes off as a SDCC exclusive with the packaging and lights. Poison Ivy is my favorite in the set.
|
My god this pack will be mine! Can't wait to replace Bane, Freeze & Croc!
|
The 5 pack is listed for 140$ on BBTS. I just hope we get some accessories and stands like all the other animated figures. Mine are all going to get displayed together on their stands when the line is all said and done.

The figures look great, but definitely add me to the list of those hoping they also get individual releases as well. Not sure if I would get Crock on his own, depends on how he turns out and what he comes with, but I definitely want Bane, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy. Montoya and the special box are... interesting, but easy passes for me.
As for accessories, I know this won't comfort most on here, but the listing does specify "character-specific accessories and extra hands". |
Lol, I can't believe that so few people are excited that Renee Montoya is finally getting an action figure !
52 was "that book" that solidified my love of DC, and I loved that a character that I grew up watching on Batman: TAS was becoming a Legacy character (by becoming The Question) during that series. Suffice it to say, I've wanted some sort of Montoya figure for quite some time, but, unfortunately, I don't see myself shelling out so much cash for a set of Bat villains that I don't particularly need/want figures of. |
I think they need to cut that gut joint on Croc, and just stick to the diaphragm joint above it for the torso.

I'm surprised so many people love Montoya. She's got, like, maybe fifteen minutes of screen time in the entire series.
|
I'm bummed about the reduced articulation.. but I'm still going to get the TAS set. I wonder if they'll be released individually.
I don't really pose the figures from this line in any sort of action poses or anything, so the reduced articulation isn't a HUGE deal, but the lack of ankle pivots annoys me more than anything. Ankle pivots should be mandatory for all figures meant to be bought by collectors. I mean, we have the originals without them, the ones made 20 years later SHOULD have them. |

I don't have any of the Black & White statues at this point, but I'm really tempted by the Breyfogle Batman. He is my favourite Batman artist of all time. He and Aparo were the main 2 artists on the titles when I first got heavily into comics.
|
It's good to see a Montoya figure. I hope that once they're past the main Rogues Gallery they do some of the more minor TAS characters. I'd love to see The Grey Ghost, Clock King, Maxie Zeus, etc.
