Star Wars rogue one factory mistake
 

I went to target yesterday and I usually always check out the toy section for new toys and I came across a double pack of the scariff trooper vs moroff bundle noticed that instead of a scariff trooper it had a clone trooper which seemed odd to me since all the other packages had a scariff trooper instead is it worth something is this a huge deal or not?

It may have been a Swapped. Like someone Bought it took the Scariff Trooper out and put the clone trooper in the package then Returned it. Because that happens all the time in my city. And Almost all the Time its star wars figures they do this with

I agree with Tim. I think it was swapped. People who buy then "return" it but replace it with a figure they own. Thankfully I've never seen it at one of my stores as of yet.

It was sealed properly it didn't look as if it was tampered with

I bought it because I love the clones era I don't wish to sell it i was just curious as to if it was worth something or just a random mistake I only bought because it had a clone In it and I doubt it's worth billions of dollars

These are the pictures all the other had tape just like this and it looks like it hasn't been opened at least I assume it hasn't it would be very obvious any I open anything with tape the graphics get ruined even just a little bit

image 3 out 4 , shows that its is ,looks to be re-taped as well. on the blue bit , also the top of /roof packaging is a bit ruff and been pulled upwards. lots of fraily bits of card to show. i wouldn't of bought it , unless i wanted a clone wars trooper, also whoever did it was in a bit of a hurry its seems.

I was just curious and wanted a second opinion I pretty much just wanted the clone I'm happy with it either way

Well if you're happy with it that's what counts. That clone trooper is arguably an upgrade from the 5-POA scarif trooper that was supposed to be there since it actually has more articulation but also proves that this is a figure swap since that clone was released years ago so there aren't gonna be any in the factory to accidentally wind up in the wrong box.

Glad you're happy and agree with war machine looks like it's been retaped. Sometimes if I want to return something that has been opened but either have had a change of heart I retape but make sure all the box and items are in great condition. I also love to keep the boxes too without any tears, etc. I never would have thought to reswap figures XD getting to return something at one of my stores it's like getting checked out at the airport one slip up and you're done for XD

So would you guys say this is a win situation? Would you guys have swapped out the scariff trooper for the clone?

I would never figure swap anything because it's a real asshat thing to do but in this instance it does seem like a win for you. To the average buyer though, say somebody who wanted that two pack for all of its content, figure swapping is a horrible practice which is only a sliver away from straight out stealing an item.

If you're pleased with the result, then that's terrific! Personally, I think that Clone Trooper is superior to anything in the 5PoA line. But no, it's obviously not some factory error that will make you rich. It's just some weasel trying to save a few bucks. I've seen a few in my time.

If you see it as a win as in something that you wanted probably yes. The practice of swapping though is moronic.

I would not swap out anything though like ever.

I think that wasp nest Transformer is the funniest swap i have ever seen. Who ever returned that had some balls on them, I'll give them that!

Im a BIG fan of the 5 poa current stuff and a HUGE hater of Clones. So it is tragic on many levels to me. Id never swap, but as much as I do agree of it is a shitbag thing to do, my inner anarchist admires them. Doesnt make it right and certainly dont condone it, just think its pretty punkrock to steal ot and fool someone with an obvious swap AND get your money back.... that said, it hurts the indusrty, the retail stores, the collector looking for it only to be thrarted, ajd the uninowing consumer who wctually buys the garbage.

I must admit that I've not come across 'toy aisle trolling' in the 10+ years I've been collecting, but I've seen plenty of empty blisters where items have clearly just been stolen.
