Dragonball Z Bandai

How do the figure-rise standard figures work/hold up to the SH figuarts figures? What exactly is different between the lines?

Since they are almost $20 cheaper

Jlogano20 02-24-2017 09:03 AM

really? NO ONE?

Zorn88 02-24-2017 09:18 AM

I love them. I'm honestly liking them more than figuarts.

They are cheaper, have very good articulation, and actually have accessories.

The only thing that I don't like about them is that they have stickers.

been wanting to try that Buu....i actually had it in my hand yesterday...at 25.00....but i still passed....maybe soon..

Interesting, so Are they basically the same size/scale as the figuarats?

The Figuarts figures are scaled together pretty well, but aren't 6" they're slightly smaller. The new figures shown at Toyfair aren't scaled to eachother very well as Freeza and Vegeta are too close in height to Goku but they're in line with the legacy power rangers line so they would be 6".

*edit*...both my posts i thought we were talking about Figure-Rise....
ignore me.... ;)

Weapon X 02-28-2017 03:37 PM

Apparently the figure-rise are model kits.

Zorn88 02-28-2017 04:48 PM

I don't have a picture of my Kid Buu, but here's one with Frieza and Goku that I took a while back.

well shit....they look cool...

Weapon X 02-28-2017 06:17 PM

Yeah, even though they have to be put together, I say go for them. Forget Figuarts. In my opinion, they always had a weird look to them anyways.

Whoops. Forgot to mention that the Goku pictured is Figuarts. But the Frieza is the Figure Rise.

Not bad, but not good either. Overpriced, riddled with QC issues, and weird design that isn't really faithful to the show.
