Taking Pictures with NECA PREDATORS
Hey Guys!
I want to Take Pictures of my NECA Predators, So I need some good camera to take pictures, Also I need some Dioramas to put my figures in for good pictures, Like the Extreme Sets Dioramas, They are good. You have any Advice? :) |
Decide what you want to build, and then start shopping for the materials you'll need to build it.
|
I net some sets like the ones from extremesets.com
And a couple of action figures that fits for the predator encounters. and some kind of webcam or camera and lights. |
I use my smart phone to take pictures and have gotten some excellent shots with it. Whatever kind of camera you use, don't use the flash. The flash can wash out the colors and look unnatural. Set up some external lights and you'll get better shots. I use some cheap LED desk lamps from Walmart.
I haven't bought any of the extreme sets but the galleries here on Toyark have looked really good. You might also look at the diorama pieces that came with the first few waves of ToyBiz Marvel Legends. You may also find that some of the Marvel Select and Gotham Select figures have diorama pieces that could work for a Predator photo shoot. I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention taking photos outdoors. Sunny days will provide plenty of natural light and you'd have a ready made jungle or desert environment (depending on where you live). Just make sure that you're not in any danger of snakes or animals that could attack wherever you are taking pictures. If taking pictures outside isn't an option or just not your thing, you could use potted plants or fake plants from some place like Hobby Lobby. You may may want to look into setting up a terrarium for some ideas about setting up a natural looking environment indoors. Hope some of these ideas help. |
I wanna take pictures indoors, and i think the Extreme sets are optional. and do i need a Tabletop or something to put my sets for photo shooting?

What are the best Diorama Sets for NECA Predators photoshooting?
|

Reply as soon as you can. |
Neca has made a few diorama pieces but you'd probably have to search eBay for them. I think one was a trophy wall but you'd need to Google it to find out what all they have made. They also put out a Predator accessory pack last year so you should have any easier time getting that. Neca provides downloads for back drops at the end of each year.
Diorama Downloads | NECAOnline.com I can't think of any diorama set that you could just buy so you may need to make it yourself. You could experiment on your own or you could search the internet to see what other people are doing. I don't have any specific resources to point you toward for this. For characters that the Predator can fight, Xenomorph Aliens seems like the natural choice. Probably any Neca figure could work like Ripley, Dutch, DC movie figures, Terminator, Robocop, Ninja Turtles, etc. If you missed out on Dutch a few years ago, he'll be getting rereleased later this year. Neca is also releasing some DC vs Alien/Predator sets later this year. The first set is a comic book Batman vs a Joker inspired Xenomorph. Outside of other Neca figures, you could try Star Wars Black Series. You'd have a wide selection of alien bounty hunters and troopers as well as iconic characters like Darth Vader. You could also try Marvel Legends figures like Wolverine, Punisher, Hulk, and Spiderman. |
Thanks but how can i use the diorama backdrops?
|
You could take the picture so that you didn't see the feet.
http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o...ing%20Star.jpg You could have the figure stand on something so you don't see the bottom edge of the back drop. http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o...%20Surface.jpg You could set the figure on a base and curl the bottom edge of the back drop underneath the base. http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o...eet%20Base.jpg You could also adjust the picture settings so that the "ground" in the back drop is roughly the same color as the figure's standing surface. http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o...%20Backlit.jpg |
