Revoltech Wolverine
I'm gonna pass, on second thought it looks good.
Put me down for one.
It's gotta be done. That's my favourite Wolverine colour scheme. Spidey will have Venom to face off against very soon; now Logan just needs a huge beastly Sabertooth to charge at. My figma hulk will have to stand in until then.
Hmmmm! The knee looks like the same type of single-joint as Venom's. Interesting.
Looks great either way. Guess I'm all in on this line. |
The only thing that is off to me is the flesh tone. Still getting him but I might try to touch that up.
Yuck. Wrong costume.
That's not the 90's costume.
This is not the 90's(/ 70's) costume, it is the Astonishing X-Men/2000's costume. Same colors, but in a different pattern/design. The most classic look has blue trunks and an entirely yellow mid/upper torso above it, with black stripes on the sides and traps, and a red belt. This one has no trunks, with the sides of his torso (from his hips to his traps) being blue, and the stripes being yellow, and a black belt.
I don't really care too much where exactly this costume is from, the only thing I know is that these colours look great on this particular figure.
Also as with Venom the mass really helps to hide these ugly joints. While still far from perfect (the translation between the forearm and the hands is a bit rough and the torso is kind of a mess) it's one of the best Wolverine figures I've seen in the last few years. But I'm biased in that opinion since I mostly stick to Japanese figures these days. |
Yeah, I've gone and preordered the re-relase Deadpool so it looks a lot like I'm all in on this line just now...
If they can keep him under 6 inches I'm all in, but knowing revoltech he'll probably be a little taller.
I am A-Okay with this costume, he's still the bold yellow and blue that I love and I think he'll go great in a Marvel vs Capcom display. The mass and poseability of this line has sold me entirely. Deadpool is the only one that didn't do it for me but I couldn't pre-order Venom and Gwen fast enough. Wolverine is going to be much the same. I only wonder whats next and who would look good with these more stylized proportions.
And bonus points if he comes with the cigar. Thrilled that those hands look like they can double as cigar holding or a taunting 'come get some' hands |
This looks good he jus really needs unmasked head
The only thing I like are the claws. The way they do the butterfly joint looks weird to me... and his legs look kinda fat.
These Revoltech's are pure win for any display

Official pictures are out, pre-orders should follow soon, Wolverine will be released in September for a price of 5900¥.
Included are 3 heads, two sets of hands as well as a third one to hold the included cigar, and the claws seem to be interchangeable between all of them. Lastly, there's a clear plastic "Slash"-effect part. Action Figure AMAZING YAMAGUCHI No.005 Wolverine I also found another listing for the Revoltech Venom, he seems to be getting a reissue in August. That Wolverine is pretty fucking amazing. I might have to pick one up.
This is the best Wolverine ever made in figure form.
Might have to agree with Universe, here. Maybe even better than Mezco. The slashing effect alone is something we just do not get enough, if we've ever gotten it at all. Im not even a huge Wolvie guy but I may have to pick this up as my definitive Wolverine.
I can't say if this is the best one ever but it looks pretty good IMO.
The transition between the forearms and the hands is a bit rough and the sides of the upper torso look weird, but still not too shabby. I really like the way they did the claws, those look great. |
Wow, this looks good in a vanilla pose, unlike Deadpool, Spider-Man. Venom looks good in the vanilla pose too though. I know these are supposed to be posed but I like my figures to at least look good standing straight.
I despise the way the Spider-Man and Deadpool look, the joints are awful but this doesn't look bad in any pose. I'm surprised but I actually want this. Pre-ordered it! Man, just a slight costume change and this sucker would be X-Men vs. Street Fighter Wolverine in a heartbeat. ....that cigar..IS..... AWESOME!! |
oh snap son!, those poses and sculpt is on point.. count me excited.
Tempting to get, it has a Adam Kubert look to it based on the design IMO.
