Here is a thread for one of my favorite building lines of the late 80s. Enjoy!

Here are some photos of my latest acquisition: The Tech Dynasty Z-Tank!

The Z-Tank is sort of an oddity among Legions toys. It is non-symetrical in design, has no CPU blocks, and only one official build. There is no officer, just a trooper piloting it. It has 27 parts, and none are unique to this set.

Trying to collect instruction scans. This is the only one I saw online.

EDIT:

I tried to put together a Bandit Bomber from parts in my parts bin. I am one piece shy of making it, so I used a blue substitute piece. Anyone have a spare of the piece I need, let me know.

Well, the parts are common across several kits. The pilots might clue you in on which you have.

The colors for the officers are all unique, and each larger set came with an officer.

So looking at your Star Legions figures, I see Lt. P.C., Lt. Rob-Bart, and Lt. Marker, which means you probably own the In Flight Command Vehicles, the Land Rovers and a Space Fighters, respectively.

The last figure in your picture is definitely Lt. Reighnor, who came with the Ground Terrors.

If we can get instructions or even box back scans, perhaps we can rebuild those for you.

Wow! That art is amazing.

I attached a cropped version of the photo just showing the figures. I'm going to Google a bit and see if I can cobble together a vehicle or two out of these parts.

Another fun Legions of Power item was the promo you could send away for from Nestle Quik chocolate milk mix. I ordered several of them as a kid.

Despite the picture on the package, what you ended up getting was either you ended up getting one of two 4-piece sets, each with a jet, a gun, a cockpit and a trooper. The Star Legions one was a round cockpit with the small articulated gun, the Tech Dynasty one was a square cockpit with the large unarticulated gun.

Started work on the Tech Dynasty Ground Terrors. I had to work without one of the pilots, so I substituted another, but even though I had no instructions, I found a lot of low res pictures online and made all the modes. Oddly none of the modes even come close to using all the parts. Some parts included in the set are not used in ANY official mode. Also, Armored mode uses 5 guns, but the set only comes with 4 guns!

You may notice that the cockpit was HEAVILY redesigned from the box photos to the final toy. It appears in Defense Mode on the box front.

Awesome. I did a photo inventory of all the pieces I have. Here's a sampling. Definitely seems like I should have Ground Terrors. Also have a battery holder and drive motor.

So far my army consists of:

Star Legions: Strategic Enforcer, Strike Jet

Tech Dynasty: Space Capsule, Z-Tank, Ground Terror, Power Master

Plus I have tons of parts for the larger sets.

Cool thread. You like Construx, Tomy Tomics (Multimac), or Milton Bradley Robotix?

I do like Robotix.
