Cool, but I'd love to see more characters outside of the ninjas. I'm still waiting on the Goro and Shao Khan figures to go up for pre-order.

Awesome! Wish I could buy all of these.

I'm gonna be done and happy with just SZ and Scorpion unless they show they're actually going to do ANY other characters besides ninjas and bosses (if they get released). I mean come on, I'm going to cancel my Reptile preorder as I don't think he's necessary.

The only way I'd consider this is if they are including blood effects for a uppercut effect like that. Other than that it's a super lazy repaint.

1) I wouldn't call it a lazy repaint when it's entirely accurate to the look of the character; I do wish they would branch out to characters other than the ninjas and Goro, but I understand they might potentially want to get the ninjas done first befofe moving on, and 2) that uppercut blood effect is definitely going to be an accessory.

This is bad ass.

Also saying Reptile isn't necessary..... good lord man.

He's one of the best characters.

Every Mortal Kombat chraracter is necessary if you're a huge fan.

I don't know about every character. I could do without a Jarek, Kai, Movado, Molak, Hsu Hao, Kobra, Darrius, Mo-Kap, Stryker, and several others...

I wish that the license wasn't only limited to what appears to be characters appearing in the first and second games (given that the looks of the ninjas feature the masks from both games.) I'd love to see SC give us an MK9 Quan Chi, an MKX Mileena (although I'd be happy with her UMK3 look) or an UMK3 Rain (though I feel we will see a repaint of him at some point with the way they keep doing these pallet swapped ninjas for the line...)

I'll take them all.

However, some of them do suck but if Storm makes them, I'll buy them.

Stryker is awesome though.

It looks like Shao Kahn will make a return at SDCC 2017. They put up a super pixelated image saying "Who's Next". It was clearly Shao Kahn, Kitana, Liu Kang and Baraka.

Kitana would be a great announcement, because it means that inevitably we will receive a repaint for Mileena. This is great news considering this comes right after heels of what I said yesterday.

Ok preorders back on for me lol. I'm really glad they're going MK2 for all these too. Hoping for some blood effects with these to create some fatalities.

They did, but he will likely be the next figure up for pre-order after the ninjas. Also wouldn't be surprised if they reveal a variant bloody version at SDCC.

So glad a 1:12 HK studio is heating up the competition in that scale. Sure they're almost 1:10 if you compared to the 1:12 Japanese figures, but with the rate they're doing/announcing ST/MK figures, they can probably have a shelf filled entirely of Storm figures soon. Heh.

They could then do Jade too since she was a secret boss in MK2.

Wouldn't buy this one simply because this isn't the klassic look Noob had. His mask and the rest of the costume is different from Scorpion and SZ MK1 look. Same for smoke and ermac.

If we're going by Mortal Kombat 2, which all of the preview pics are from and what their current releases look like, this Noob Saibot looks on point. NS was just a black silhouette of the ninjas in MK2.

This actually IS the klassic look that Noob had. Noob was just a featureless, completely darkened out version of Sub-Zero's character sprites in MK2. Noob did not receive his first non borrowed costume until MK Deception rolled around.

Smoke also wore the same costume as the ninjas in MK2, only his sprites were grey and they were applied to Reptile's character sprites. Smoke did not gain an original set of character sprites until MK3 with his cyborg version, and even then, it was just a color swap of Cyrax and Sektor. Smoke also didn't receive his first completely original costume until MK Deception, where him and Noob Saibot were part of the same character as Noob Smoke.

Ermac never appeared in MK2 in any form unless you used an emulator with hacks applied. Ermac made his first appearance in MK1, and wore the same exact thing Scorpion and Sub-Zero did, only in red. You were not able to play him, nor were you able to fight him, and he was actually nothing more than a glitch, AKA, an Error Macro. Ermac didn't make his first appearance otherwise as a playable or fightable character until UMK3, in which he wore the same outfit as the other male ninjas in the game, only in red (the costume itself does differ from the version these figures are wearing, as they were more sleek and non quilted, but Ermac still wore that exact same costume the male ninjas wore.) Otherwise, Ermac did not get his first completely original set of game sprites until Mortal Kombat Deception.

I badly want the Shao Kahn. Wish they'd do preorders already. Reptile is badass too. Mileena is definitely one I would like, but I would want a hair down version. Hope that is an option they'll have. She's one of the few characters that I actually prefer the newer look on.

It is NOT the Klassic look. ALL of the ninjas that appeared after MK1 had different mask with vents and lacked the appearance of a hood draped over their heads. Also the tunics had rectangular shapes going down the chest instead of the knitted or quilt look from MK1.

He looks fine to me.
