Dead Alive/ Braindead Customs
 

I've been waiting forever for a company to release figures based on my favourite movie of all time. Since it doesn't appear to ever be happening, I made some myself. I have a few more planned, but first up are Lionel & Paquita.
They are by no means perfect & don't really look like the actors. To me they look like comic book versions. I had a heck of a time sculpting a new nose for Lionel. Rank amateur that I am.
The only thing I'm really thinking of changing at this point is maybe making them blood spattered. I know the outfits & hair are not screen accurate, but more like summation of what I picture in my head when I think about the characters.

Next up is Father McGruder of "I kick ass for the Lord" fame. For some reason, I could not get the flesh tone to smooth out. The Zsasz figure just wasn't very receptive to paint. I sculpted the robe, pyjama bottoms, swapped shoes, sculpted the hair, and did a total repaint. It's not as good as I hoped it would be, but it could be worse. He blends in well at the back of the shelf with Lionel & Paquita, so, I guess, that's all that matters.

I gave my friend my Dead Alive customs yesterday, but not before I threw together a Baby Selwyn to go with them. Made from a DST Ghostbusters 2 Oscar figure with an all new sculpted head.
