Oh, NECA
 

As SDCC is ramping up and my favourite company is revealing amazing thing after amazing thing, the whole thing is just a little soured by my recent NECA experience. Yesterday, I was supposed to receive a shipment containing 2 Sewer Xenos, Dutch, and the Turtles. The box came and I was surprised by how small it was. It only contained the 2 Xenos. I emailed immediately and just now received the response.

"We have found there was inventory issues with your order. If we have any left next week, we will do our best to fulfill your order."

Now, that, my friends, is just disappointing as all hell. I ordered all of these on the first day, the minute it went live. I was on there 10 minutes early, all login stuff entered, and snagged them 5 minutes to 12. The very first day. 5 minutes before they were even supposed to go live.

So, now, I have to wait another week to find out if I'm getting them at all, and then another week to ten days to receive them. After all that, if I have to go on eBay to get Dutch, I'm going to be pretty pissed. The turtles were non-essential to me, but I have to have that Dutch.

I'm hoping nobody else has this issue. I love NECA and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars, but this is, basically, just unacceptable.

So, yeah, I love 90% of their reveals and plan on getting most of them, but my excitement is near basement-level right now.

Sorry to hear about your issues, hope they get it sorted for you!

I haven't even had shipping notifications yet for any of my orders.

For the turtles.. I blame playmates. I can't imagine there's a turtles fan who wouldn't want this set. But thanks to playmates and NECA's small production side we get screwed.

Mistakes happen, but the response, "We'll ship them to you later if we still have them instock" is the bullshit part. That is false advertising.

Update:

I emailed them on Friday asking about the status of the order. Told them I would gladly accept a refund for the Turtles, if they were the issue, as I really just NEEDED Dutch. They replied today with, "We are still waiting for new stock to arrive to fulfill orders & for replacements".

So, IF I do get these, it's going to be at least another couple weeks. That's awesome sauce. Wish there was a sarcastic font to type in….

That is strange indeed. I ordered the TMNT set on the 3rd day and they arrived 2 days before the start of SDCC.

Update:

Got an email yesterday, that the package was on its way. Checked the tracking and it will be here tomorrow. I'm eagerly anticipating Dutch, but my excitement for the TMNT set has soured & dwindled to basically nothing, so I will most likely sell it off. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that the paint on Dutch is good.

Final Update:

The TMNT set and Dutch finally did come yesterday. Dutch is awesome, of course. The Turtles look outstanding, but I think I will sell them off. I'm not a big TMNT fan and really just bought them on impulse. Given the long time it took to finally get them, whatever desire I had for them has worn off, and I'm left scratching my head, wondering why I thought I needed them. I may hang onto them for a few days, to see if anything changes, but chances are, they'll be on eBay before the week is out. Had they come when they were supposed to, I would have tore into them, but, alas...
