Neal Adams Figures

have they ever made a proper neal adams Batman action figure
I have never seen one, what would take DC so long to do a line
based on his art?

To my knowledge, there are only two Batman's that come close to Adams' art: DCUC Crime Stopper Batman and the DC Direct Crisis on Infinite Earths Batman. Neither is based on Adams' art but they are the closest you'll get right now.

Neal Adams is a classic but he's not really an artistic force for DC anymore. That title would probably fall to Jim Lee with other artists like Greg Capullo and Jason Fabok making very strong impressions. All three of them have had figures, or will have figures, based on their work.

The first DC Universe Classics Batman was a Neal Adams figure.

Unfortunately, Neal Adams is an absolute asshole, so I've lost all of my love for his designs after meeting him last month. Fortunately, Denny O'Neil, Dick Giordanno, and Len Wein worked on the issues Adams drew, so I am supporting those guys when I read those issues.

"DC Direct JLA Series 2 Batman"

Not Neal Adams but still looks great. I was lucky enough to find this on Amazon for a very decent price not too long ago. Awesome-looking sculpt; especially with the dynamic cape and perfect-length ears. (imo)

He's also been released in a JLA figure boxset with an awesome retro coloring scheme, but I've never seen it pop up anywhere.

Hope that helps! :)

That Crisis Batman is based on Jim Aparo's version actually.

The crisis Batman is good but too tall to display with
other JL figures

SpasticPlastic 08-10-2017 11:21 AM

The Ed Benes Justice League Batman, that PanicPuppet posted, would probably be the closest, in my opinion, if the Crisis one is too tall for you.
