Didn't ToyBiz do something similar for the first X-Men movie?

I dig it. Will buy.

Mattel will always find a way to keep selling their outdated ugly molds from 2004...and they're new molds aren't that much of improvement as their articulation is still very limited and are overpriced.

I know Mattel did something similiar for the Dark Knight Trilogy. No comic version, but they gave us 3 versions of Batman from the trilogy with very similiar backdrop stands.

And there's the open running hands that the designer had included in his renders that he shared for the movie Flash figure.

All of the single carded 66 Batman figures came with the same peg stands and cardboard backdrops. And the Multiverse Superfriends all have them too. Those things are junk as far as I'm concerned. The pegs don't fit snugly in most of the figures' feet and they're too far over to one side so the figures aren't centered on the base when you use the peg.
