ThreeZero Announces Bioshock Figures

It's odd that they're emphasizing the gameplay of Bioshock as the main draw in their marketing pitch here. I mean, yeah, the game did play great (although it was very similar to it's distant cousin, System Shock 2), but it was really the story line, atmosphere, and fantastic character and environment design work that really drew me in and set the game apart. Rapture is one of the most awe-inspiring locations ever in a videogame, to be sure.

That said, a 1/6 scale Bouncer? How the hell big will this monster be?

The description is just the base description from the game itself as seen on the Steam page and official game websites.

Too big for me :(
Bouncers don't actually stand that much taller than regular people but they sure as hell are a lot bulkier.

Yeah, I have the NECA Bouncer and he takes up A LOT of space. This new one will be ridiculous.

ThreeZero Bioshock Big Daddy and Little Sister Figure Set - The Toyark - News

http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/up...re-Set-001.jpg

Joe Moore 09-12-2017 04:26 AM

This might be the best looking figure ThreeZero has made yet.

Dolemite 09-12-2017 05:27 AM

You might want to correct your description, as I don't think the drill hand is removable. It didn't come off in the game. I think the interchangeable hands are actually for the left arm only....he seems to have a fist and an open hand, based on the pics.

Oh, and 12.5 inches tall? Holy shit, it's HUUUUGGGEEE

Will update, but there's literally a photo showing the Drill is removable...

Aaaaannnnnndddddd somehow I managed to completely miss that. :)

Still, not sure why they went to the trouble, unless it's for packaging purposes. Like I said, it's not like the drills come off in the game.

Yeah, not sure what they're thinking is there. Perhaps a variant or exclusive of some kind in the future with an alternate attachment.

Actually, later in the game you do encounter "Elite" versions of the Big Daddies with huge spinning harpoon hands instead of drills, so you may be onto something there.

In Burial at Sea (the add-ons for Infinite) the Big Daddy has a prototype drill that launches to serve as a harpoon, maybe that's what they were going for here.
