This is...unexpected.

That said, Jet Set Radio was awesome and a figure of Beat is just a super-cool idea. I'm kinda bummed that they went with the polygonal look for him (after all, they didn't make an 8-bit Arthur), but otherwise the figure looks really good (I've always wanted his t-shirt). I might pick it up.

No, I won't pick it up. I've decided, the polygonal look is downright ugly. Dumb design choice.

Yeah, just like those polygonal Virtua Fighter figures, this won't mesh with anything.

The Virtua Fighter figures are awesome, they don't need to mesh with anything.

I wasn't a fan of this game so I don't know how polygonal he looked in the game, but I'm in general a fan of doing how they looked in the game.

Arthur figure was based on his MVC3 look.

Beat here has no other official look besides his original DC look, so.

Beat was cell-shaded and had an animated look. He didn't look nearly as blocky in the game as this figure does with it's Lego limbs and robot joints, so.

Other than the overly exposed joints, I think it looks pretty spot on. The cel-shading hid some of the harder edges, but he's still pretty blocky in the game.
