figma Genji (Overwatch)
 

After the Tracer figma from GSC comes the second entry in their Overwatch-line, the Cyborg Ninja Genji.

Genji includes his katana and wakizashi swords, a Shuriken effect with translucent parts and an articulated stand. Plus a few extra hands I imagine, but they are not listed on the page.

The figure will be released in May 2018 and cost 7222¥. Pre-orders should be up already.

Personal opinion, @Topic: I think the colors are way too flat and boring. The white and brown/beige don't look right too me. I also expected the katana to have more of a curve, it looks almost straight and I had to look at the scabbard to make sure it actually is curved.

I have no interest in the character, but for the price they're asking this should look a lot better and maybe even include a translucent green dragon effect.

And I forgot to mention the shoulder joints - those are on the Revoltech-level of horribleness. Damn, they look ugly.

Can't explain it, but he looks off (too buff?)... but I rarely use his classic skin ... I always use Sentai or young Genji.

I like Mei best though... gonna get Mei Nendoroid for sure... and maybe Figma Mei if they can get her cuteness right.

Agreed about the colors but honestly I think he looks too cool to pass.The price isnt really that high, not relatively to other figmas at least.....
I wont preorder yet but he is definitely getting in my to-buy list ^^

Tracer didn't grab me enough to spend that kind of money, and neither has Genji. I'm in agreement that he looks a little off, but I can't put my finger on exactly why. It might be a combination of factors.

I do hope the line delivers with other characters, though. I would gladly spend good money on a well-done Reaper, Lucio, Symmetra, or Junkrat. Hell, if they could somehow get a Roadhog out alongside Junkrat, I'd forego most of my other toy purchases to fund that order.

I think what is off is that the colours have no pop. It’s like a desaturated image if Genji. Even the metallic face mask and chest armor pieces looks dull on the figure. The greenish yellow circles, his visor, and other decals on his armor look dull too.

If they change the paint job before release, it’s worth it. But as it is now, I am not spending that much on it.

Also, this is an EXPENSIVE compared to the usually figma price. It’s not less expensive as someone else suggested.

Mmmmmm... not sure about this one. It looks borring and very expensive for what is shown. I'll have Tracer, but I'll pass on Genji, maybe maybe on sales.
