Really looking forward to this figure. Hopefully they'll follow it up with an Ultimate Part 7 next.

Same here, and Part 7 would be ridiculously awesome. The old one is way too big and static.

But I'd really like to see a Part 8 or Roy 7" figure since they've never been made before.

What is the difference with the "ultimate" version" as opposed to one if their previous releases? I'm a Neca fan just never quite saw anything big really.

Typically the point of the ultimate figures is to release a sort of all-inclusive package, one item that includes enough options and accessories to provide a variety of looks from the source. Looking specifically at the ultimate Jason figures done so far it is worth noting that 2 out of 3 have basically just been repaints of previously released figures but with loads more accessories, that's mainly because those two original figures (parts 3 and 4) technically still held up in the sculpt and articulation areas. Now for Part 2 Jason we should be getting an all-new figure since from my memory they haven't done this look as an actual figure since the days when they had ol' McFarlane levels of articulation.

If I may ask, how come NECA or any other toy company has never sculpted a Jason Takes Manhattan figure? All I can find on sites are custom made and never from the toy making companies.

Is there no demand for it or something else holding them back from ever making one? I really do hope they can craft one in their Ultimate Jason line after Part 2 or The New Blood.

I don't think anyone has done Jason Takes Manhattan, not to my knowledge anyway. Probably because it is considered one of if not the weakest entry in the series, from a design perspective I can't help but laugh my ass off at muppet mouth Jason. Having said that it's not impossible that NECA will get around to Manhattan Jason at some point.

I'm starting to think that we might never see a new Hodder Jason of any sort, and I'm starting to wonder if it has to do with Kane Hodder himself. I'm wondering if it could be a royalty or studio issue...(although Kane was very instrumental in the development of the recent game...but again...I'm sure he was paid for that role.)

Kane was a great guy when I met him last year, but he groused about the part 7 NECA figure I had him sign in a passive aggressive way that was hard to read.

Happy we are getting Sackhead Jason. He was one that I missed out on for the original releases, so this re-release with an ultimate treatment will be most appreciated. I hope we get his mother's head, along with her sweater and shrine table as accessories...since we already have machetes and knives for days with the other figures...

While getting the entire shrine will probably be too much for one box that already has a full figure and weapons we could and definitely should see the head included at least.

Those are the two that I really want. I think we'll get a Part 8 Jason sooner or later, but Neca seems resistant to a Roy figure, citing poor sales of the Mego-style release.

However, if anyone from Neca is reading this, I have a suggestion that I think can help sell a Part 5 figure. I don't know if I've mentioned it here before, but I think they should pack it with an extra Part 3 head and mask.

Why do that? Well, keep in mind that Jason does make a few appearances as an hallucination in the film. That way people have a choice if they want to display him as Roy or the "real" Jason. Plus, you might sell a few extra figures to people who want to display both versions and others who want to customize it to make a Michael Meyers.

Hell, if Neca ever gets the rights to Halloween back, they'll have a body ready to use.

Good idea...the only issue with it is that when the hallucinations of Jason appear, it's Jason as he was in Final Chapter...with green shirt and khakis. Roy wears a blue mechanic's jumpsuit not unlike Michael Myers throughout the entire film.

I c ouls see Roy becoming some kind of exclusive in the future, similar to the way Pamela and child Jason was.

Funny how Neca will cite poor sales why not to make something. Seems like a cop out at times that they say to make people stop asking. Were sales so strong for the Leatherface figures (many which I saw languishing on shelves for quite a bit) that they started giving us side characters from the series nobody asked for nor expected? Did we need (or even ask...) for figures from National Lampoon's, A Christmas Story, or Silent Night Deadly Night? I'd be curious to know what the sales or even the interest was to justify those being made.

Technically, no they haven't, but the old McFarlane Jason Goes To Hell figure actually looked much more like the Manhattan version for some weird reason.

Randy has said on Twitter more than once that a new Part 7 figure is possible. We'll see...he's well aware of the demand.

Good idea. Roy has already been offered as an exclusive by other companies...Hot Topic had a Funko pop of Roy recently, for example.

Pamela's head came with the original Part 1&2 boxset and the individual release of Jason. Her head even came with the NES Jason version 2. However, I'd be surprised if they include the shrine with the ultimate. I'm thinking what they may do, is include the same version that came with the NES version (with clear stand) just painted in normal colors. The backdrop would possibly be the shrine and you could put her floating head in front of the background.
Since the shrine is on the back of the box, I suspect they will include at least her head.

Yeah, but I doubt the head will be floating. It didn't in Part 2, but if it had, that would have been awesome.

Wouldn't surprise me if Neca release the shrine as part of an envoironment set... along with a set of steps and a wheelchair. lol. Their Camp Crystal Lake set was pretty neat.

Always psyched when NECA releases a new Jason figure. Day one.

Looks great, this is my favorite Jason look. I don’t quite get why they went with a campfire over the altar for Pamela’s head. Hopefully we get that in a future accessory pack

My guess is the size factor. The shrine for Pamela was like a full table, the fireplace is quite smaller.

I have the original altar that came with NECA's old-school Part 2 Jason/Pamela set, and it's probably a little too big to include as an accessory with a figure. But if NECA does another F13 accessory pack, I'd say it's a shoo-in.

I'm glad to see this is still coming. With the rights to the series being fought over again in legal courts, I was sure that this was going to be cancelled or delayed indefinitely until that situation resolves itself.

People have been asking on Facebook and Twitter if that legal case would affect the upcoming F13 figures that have been talked about recently (three new Jason Ultimates planned for 2019), but so far I don't think NECA's made an official statement on the matter. But the fact that this figure is still coming is good news.
