Marvel Legends Black Panther Movie Wave Images - The Toyark - News

Why is this a baf? doesn't make sense to me other than they want you to buy all of them.

Team Jetfire 10-27-2017 09:49 AM

The titular character should be getting better treatment than that.

Looks like a simple repaint.

Boogieman4hire 10-27-2017 10:28 AM

Excluding black panther I have no interest in these other figures however they do look very good. I just really have no ties or interests in them. It's nice to know black panther has another alternate head to turn him into a bald woman. ( kidding, I know that's his BAF piece)

Hardly. Neither this T'Challa nor the Killmonger figure are repaints of the previous Civil War BP figure.

Toonstrack 10-27-2017 10:37 AM

I might actually get this entire wave.

Jmacq1 10-27-2017 11:08 AM

Kind of a disappointing choice for a BAF but I guess we'll see how important she is in the movie.

Otherwise though, it looks like a pretty solid wave, though two things stick out:

1. May just be the picture, but T'Challa's unmasked head doesn't look like a very good likeness.

2. Michael B. Jordan must be a stickler about likeness rights or something, because I'd have really expected an unmasked head for him too.

Tomax 10-27-2017 11:10 AM

im getting all of them and im not into movie figs, they look superb

goliathfasa 10-27-2017 02:53 PM

I love whoever is in charge of posing the figures for the packaging/official photos.

Seems like they have quite limited experience when it comes to both posing figures and the characters they represent.

Black Panther looks like an extra in Cats the Musical.

Tomax 10-27-2017 06:36 PM

the only bad thing i see about black panther is the fact that they made Killmonger another BP, why did they do that? they should have sticked with his original tribal warrior look, would have been better

In the comics he was the Black Panther for a short period of time. He successfully overthrew T'challa and with the kingdom of course came the position of BP. I agree that from a design standpoint it's super lazy of Marvel to do this in the movie.

snake5289 10-27-2017 07:35 PM

He's probably not going to go all evil Black Panther until the "big fight" at the end of the movie anyway.

I love that the Nakia figure has given us a chance at army building the Dora Milaje!!

Small moulding details aside, do you not think that they could have done a bit more? Don't get me wrong; it looks good, but in a world where other ML are
packed with goodies, extra hands and a head just don't cut it for a feature character.

I'm assuming it has a lot to do with what BP is as the symbol of the king of Wakanda. So to the story and themes of the story, it may make more sense than him using his comic based appearance.

And since they've also teched the suits out considerably, it may make more sense in that regard too with an emphasis of his suit is more advanced than T'Challa's but then T'Challa still wins in the end.

We are talking about a coup and their national icon of leadership, aspects of pride/arrogance, etc.

Tomax 10-29-2017 12:03 AM

When is the release date?

juggernaut209 10-31-2017 10:20 AM

The disappointment for me is the lack of an alternate Killmonger head. Honestly, I would have preferred the paramilitary look that Killmonger sports for most of the trailer as a figure. With an alternate head wearing that horned lion mask.
