Toyark's S.H. Figuarts Shenron and SSG Goku Galleries
|
Not a fan of Dragonball at all but really thought of picking this guy up, he looks amazing!

Great shots. Nice figure.
I'm on the fence with this one. Not because i don't think its a really cool fig (because i do) Just trying to determine if I actually need\want this thing. |
I would just like to ask why the photographer hasn't thrown out that ass ugly old Goku figuart yet. I mean the new, good looking one exists. Hell, the figure-rise and Dragon Stars exist, too. Almost any other Goku fig would have been better here than that thing. Otherwise, the photos are pretty great. How'd you make Shenron look transparent in the one with the moon in it?

(first, the skin tone on this release is perfect for Goku and I really hope this exact color mixture is used for future Goku figures)
The fact of the matter is, the only real flaws the old Goku mold had were the shoulders and the poorly placed legs. The new mold fixed both issues but also has a few of it's own big issues. The arm movement is a little limited compared to the 1.0 mold. The 2.0 shoulder joints were made with a small buffer that limits how far the arm can be raised. Another issue comes from the new butterfly joints that hold the arms. The butterfly joint sockets sit deep inside the chest. Because of this, the arms are tucked too deeply into the chest. I think Tamashii could improve the Goku mold (and other future figures) by implementing cup sockets (similar to what was used on the 2010 SS Gohan, Frieza/Golden Frieza, and Broly). It would actually be a simple change - the "spine" would just need to have ball pegs added and they could make sockets that attach to both the "spine" and the 2.0 shoulder joint pegs. Alternatively, they could also make the butterfly swivel pegs a bit longer. Speaking of the butterfly swivel pegs, I have to point something out that I REALLY like on the SSG Goku. The swivel pegs weren't made to match the skin tone. Instead, they have the same color that the gi has. This actually helps the figure a lot. When the arms are posed, the gi attachments on the shoulders can't hide the butterfly swivels, and when those swivels are colored to match the skin, it creates a terrible flaw. This time, all you need to do is move the shoulder attachments closer to the swivel and the gap between the gi and the arms is much less significant. --- - 11/30/17 edit - This criticism is irrelevant. SS3 and SSG Goku both have disappointing waist parts but a new Saiyan Saga Goku was just revealed and it has a larger waist. It looks so much better and I'm very pleased to see it. --- ...all that out of the way, the figure looks incredible. The same goes for all the pics. |
Beerus Effect
What is that effect you are using with Beerus from? Is that from Broly?
