USPS smoke and mirrors.
 

For those of you who have noticed the "en route to destination" messages in your USPS tracking, they are meaningless. These started a few months ago to buy time before people start calling about their errant packages. They are generated automatically by their computer after the package is scanned leaving the origin station, and only 3 are generated. Two months ago I had a package that was shown in transit for 3 days and then dropped off the radar for 5. I went down and ask my postmaster about it. She called the origin station and it was still sitting there. I had to check on 3 more today. If you have a package that drops off the radar for 3+ days, take your tracking number and go see your postmaster in person!

Thank you for the heads up! fighting with this right now, package left origin, went to its closest hub...and nada since the 21st.

thanks for the heads up, never knew this. i hate UPS, they always come late (around 6 or 7pm) fed ex is better at least for this area, fedex comes early around 3pm
