Super Girl into Super Girl Friend
1 Attachment(s)
Hello everybody !
I'm about to make my very first custom figure : For the birthday of my girlfriend i'll make a little version of herself. She's a "6 inch action figures collector" so i'll start with the Super Girl Dc Comics Icons action figure. She's already looking like my girlfriend for the face but i want to customize the clothes to make her looking like the first date clothes she was wearing. You'll see the Base Action Figure in attachment of the thread ;). I just want to know what you peoples thinking about my planed workflow : 1-Dismounting all the action figure by using an hair dryer to make the plastic more flexible. 2-Using thin sand paper ( 120 - 150 gr ) on every piece to allow painting and removing the "S" symbol. 3-Using "green stuff" to close the holes that the cloack will left as i'm not planing to keep it. 4-I want to use the chest to make a mold for making a torso cloth but i don't know how to do that. The chest piece must be left intact. 5-I'll make some "chest details" with green stuff ( as she have a tatoo between her two **** ( it will not be show on the forum to respect the "no p*rn" forum rules and more importantly , to respect her ) she will see it. 6-I'm painting all the action figure pieces in a basic flesh paint that work with the head one but i realy don't know what paint to use ,as it should not be too thick to not block articulations. And should i use spray can paint ? 7-Maybe using a paint fixer ? 8-I want to cut the lower part of the skirt to re-use it on top of the belt to make a more classic look-like plaid skirt (i'll maybe use a part of the cape , i don't know).Btw if the skirt is removable it's a bonus as if she like the action figure she will maybe want a fantasy armor as she's a dungeon and dragon enthusiast.( but that will be another project ). ( ofc i'll paint underwears ;) ). 9-With adobe illustrator i'll vectorise the tatoo and print it on a sticky paper to use it as a cache for painting the tatoo on the chest. 10-I'll paint the two boots into two black vans.( or maybe high hells but that sounds a little bit tricky , so i don't realy know right know ). 11-I use the hair dryer again to make all the pieces fit together again. ( So the choosed paint must stay in place as well as green stuff ). 12-I'll use the mold i did before to make the removable top ( so my gf will see the tatoo ). I don't know what top i'll make , i'm not realy sure about the one she was wearing in our first date, i must have access to her wardrobe and have a blink :) ). So , what you guys thinks about my workflow ? do you have any idea for the paint ? Or advices for other parts of the project ? Thanks in advance, Cheers, Chorizosss PS : Sorry for my english , it's not my mother language. |

it's likely used to sclupt on figures or make little figures from scratch , unfortunalty i can't put a link because i'm a new member but if you're googling "amazon.com" + "green stuff" , you will find out ! :).
