McFarlane Call of Duty Figures

Call of Duty Figures Coming From McFarlane Toys

Oh boy, more pointless 7 inch statues with pointless articulation. I wish McFarlane Toys would get the picture already and add real articulation since no one wants static 7 inch statues. I mean even Mattel has stepped up with their figures finally making improvements with their articulation even in their DC Multiverse line even with the new DC Multiverse signature line. So they need to stop with the excuses on being upset on breaking sculpt I would rather have a highly articulated figure with great range of movement and sculpt and paint then a static 7 inch statues with articulation that isn't needed and it being seamless with decent paint. So I hope it's brought up to them there since these are big time peg warmers.

As long as Todd McFarlane is in charge of company, articulation will always be very low on the priority list. He can't stand articulation on figures and prefers a seamless look to his stuff.

That is EXACTLY why I went from collecting McFarlane to NECA. And I'd guess I'm not the only one.

AttilaTheBum 02-15-2018 01:15 PM

I mean if you're gonna make statues and they're Tortured Souls then cool, but statues of soldiers? C'mon McFarlane, you used to be cool.

Exile8782 02-15-2018 01:18 PM

Like all the new McFArlane figures , I'll wait until they go on clearance.Buy them for $5 and cut off the good parts for customs

Eficaz 02-15-2018 01:34 PM

Been wanting Figma or some import company to make these, especially with their little armory line.
I think I saw some 1/12 soldiers with soft goods that look infinitely better than these.
Cannot WAIT to see what the weekend has in store for us...

I've read/seen his interviews where he says that too. I wonder why he doesn't go the Kotobukiya route and use replaceable limbs for different poses instead of the crap they give now.

Mang ook 02-15-2018 07:35 PM

Wow line of figures that many collectors want, especially from the one who played the games...but it sucks! Because it's just another statue from mcfarlane, why mcfarlane why?! Many figure nowadays can hide joint very well and still have good details without making them into statue, yes you have articulation for this figure maybe but that is not what we call articulation for those who love toy photography (and i know thousands people who doing that now) or even for a collector who wants to change their figure pose regularly on their self, you already making progress with 7inch macfarlane walking dead line why not doing so with this figure?

Specter 02-16-2018 06:12 AM

I find it funny Mcfarlane put Call of Duty on the shelf for 10 years and then tries to comeback with these.
At least they made actual characters this time vs S1

I wonder if these will scale with those and the Mcfarlane military figures that preceded them

A lot of people on here bash anything that isn't made by Hasbro.

Where?

Official Photos of the Call of Duty Figures by McFarlane Toys - The Toyark - News

Product pages list these as 6" instead of 7" figures. Interesting. Could just be an error tho.

I guess Todd's going to drive his company into the ground, then. There's obviously a good reason why I see his stuff peg warming en masse everywhere I go. Change with the times or die, Todd.

Black Arbor 02-21-2018 10:35 AM

Yeah I'm gonna assume they're 7 inch scale and also assume that there's gonna be more articulation incorporated since these look to be prototypes and Todd has said they're incorporating more articulation (I can see it in the Star Trek and Stranger Things figures)

Twdtruefacts 02-21-2018 12:49 PM

Go check for yourselves, don’t be lazy. It’s still there.

Listen Noob...put up or GTFO...
* i joke *
but you are trolling...

Joe Moore 02-21-2018 12:54 PM

You can see from the Toy Fair pics, the articulation is about on par with the upcoming Star Trek releases. So, slightly better than average for a McFarlane release. It looks like Ghost is farther along than Soap is, as he still looks like the base hand painted prototype.

That's more like it. At least these McFarlanes are worthy of the "action" figure descriptive.

Exactly.

i still don't believe it.
They come with this new feature Called P.O.P.O.A
Painted-On-Points-Of-Articulation

they just draw on P.O.A so it looks like they are not statues..

*shaking fist in the air*

"YOU CAN'T FOOL ME McFarlands!!!"
