I cannot wait to have Stan Lee on my shelf giving orders to the Avengers.

Bo Ttef 02-24-2018 12:59 PM

It's a cool honor for Lee, and I get some people being very excited for this- but for me it's just another waste of a BAF spot. I don't want a Jack Kirby or Bob Kane action figure either. It will be fun for a few pictures but in the end it's just going in the bin of spares my collection doesn't have a place for. Cheers to those that have been clamoring for a Stan the Man action figure though!

i think it's a lil different with this one Bo...
i mean...as far as MCU..which is part of the pack he's in...
he's been in EVERY movie...so that is significant...

Dr Kain 02-24-2018 01:11 PM

Cool, but I'm not spending money on $40 packs for figures I don't care about just to get Stan Lee. Now if it had been Jack Kirby, maybe...

but on the MCU shelf he still would look out of place- he isn't a character (unless you consider him the watcher) It's the same for me with the James cameron Col. Marine. I don't care about the creators- just the characters. That's why I think it's a great honor for stan- and I'm sure lots of collectors will love this- but me me... he just doesn't fit anywhere.

I agree though even it was jack Kirby.I wouldn't have, due to roughly totalling up to £100 (yup thats how much in the UK..) to potentially finish a BAF with a total of 5 figures. You can get more figures and a BAF for maybe roughly £140 ? so the extra £40 gives me 7 figures plus a BAF, kinda being ripped off, A great way to sell mediocre figures like Everett Ross and an unmasked kill-monger with no option to give him a mask , they might as well as given us an MCU klaw figure

I honestly wouldn't do it for Kirby either, but it was fun to say.

Stan lee baf

wow a Stan Lee BAF... probably can get a couple of his heads and put it on other figures.. like Spiderman and what not...

in terms of licences... Stan Lee is pretty much a part of the MCU cause he's in every movie... Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby are a little different story.. but if they do come out with figures of those 2 Marvel Comics Legends... I'd put Steve Ditko in a Dr. Strange Sequel wave as a BAF or as a single figure... and Jack Kirby would be perfect for a MCU Fantastic Four when that comes out...

EvilMonkeyPope 02-24-2018 09:31 PM

Of course Ross comes with The Devil's pants.

webz 02-24-2018 09:35 PM

Stan Lee has been part of more than just the MCU, but also in every X-Men and Spiderman movie as well, plus, unlike Kirby or Ditko, Stan has been the public face of Marvel since the 60’s, from narrating cartoons and video games to doing the PR rounds when Marvel needed a charismatic spin in front of the media.

Stan deserves a Marvel Legends and Diamond Marvel Select figure. I’m just upset it’s a BAF because those are worthless to me. No series yet has had 5 or 6 figures I deemed worth buying, and I refuse to spend $80 to $100 on BAF on eBay.

i dont want the stan lee figure but i do want that Killmonger alternative head

JokerArkham 02-24-2018 11:03 PM

This. It's weak the way they are distributing unmasked Killmonger, but I need that Michael B. Jordan sculpt. I wish they would've done his tactical look instead. Probably would've been easy to put together with existing pieces too.

i agree with you, i would have preferred him in tribal clothing, that would be a instant buy from me

Bo Ttef 02-25-2018 09:18 AM

Rick Flagg from the Multiverse Suicide Squad line is probably going to be an easy, common go-to for folks that want that tactical-suit look without doing a ton of work (headswap/paint his forarms) So if you see him pegwarming around for $5 it might be a good pick-up!

I've seen him peg warming, but the stores still want $20 for him. Same goes with Captain Boomerang.

good idea, might do that. maybe even deadshot
im gonna put the killmonger head on flagg body and use a stark head with ross's body, so i gain a figure (suited stark) and improve one (killmonger) at the same time :)

Agreed, his tactical look was badass.

Since this has almost 6,000+ views, fair to say there is high demand

I mean, you could probably make an easy custom of that look by slapping the two-pack's Michael B. Jordan head on a Vegeta figure :p

It was a joke, friend.

DarthKamen 02-25-2018 04:13 PM

The Stan Lee figure is cool, but I really want Ross and Killmonger....but I also don't want to support Hasbro's cruddy business model of including the MBJ and more detailed Killmonger body in an exclusive.

Decisions decisions..
