Oooh, I actually had that GI Joe character as a kid :)! Mine had brown/orange colored weapons though, if I remember right.

Didn't they first show that Superman tribute video a few years ago? Either way, I don't think the DCEU incarnation deserves THAT much recognition in an 80-year anniversary animation, with the Zimmer theme taking up half the running time and the ending animation of Cavill's Superman running longer than many more relevant versions of the character.

Edit: I knew it. It's just a recycling of the 75th anniversary animation.

If I recall the 75th anniversary short came out either right before or right after Man of Steel so it was pretty relevant at the time. But I like Cavill and Zimmer's theme a lot though so it's cool with me anyway.

Watching it again though I wish they'd do a new Superman cartoon. At least the two-part Death of Superman/Reign of the Supermen movie is coming out soon I guess.
