Overwatch legos sound interesting. Especially for the lego game angle later or inclusion in lego dimensions.

Kind of would have preferred Mega Construx there, but Lego Cutesy should be interesting. Do hope it leads to a game version too.

autoboty 05-22-2018 07:59 AM

LEGO Overwatch? HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

Toonstrack 05-22-2018 08:09 AM

My hype just skyrocketed. This is a dream come true. We better get some legit action figures, like Marvel Legends quality stuff for Overwatch. To have a Hanzo in my collection would just be so amazing. And the lego sets are gonna be fantastic, I just know they will be.

Captainkrabs 05-22-2018 08:15 AM

LEGO Overwatch? Sign me in.

Snowflakian 05-22-2018 08:53 AM

Oh snap, didn't even see that Hasbro got Overwatch action figures.
Hope they do 1:18th scale and legends style. Would love to have some of these bolster out the GI Joe figures. That would be sweet to have. Especially now that they have power rangers.

Finally some more design diverse Cyber ninjas for GI Joe could rock. Not to mention all the other awesome potential.

lordbest 05-22-2018 09:52 AM

Please, please let Hasbro make 6" Overwatch figures. Annoying that Hasbro can't or won't get the WoW license too.

hasbroherofan 05-22-2018 12:45 PM

Hot damn! Legends-scaled OW figures would be amazing.

goliathfasa 05-22-2018 12:53 PM

I love the effort they put into that promo splash art.

Doomfist and Tracer aren't even done in remotely the same art style.

I love the smell of cashgrab in the mornin'.

SpasticPlastic 05-22-2018 01:34 PM

Spyro from NECA sounds good.

Considering they already own a property like it, probably seems redundant to them when they can profit off of their own instead of licensing something that's pretty much the MMORPG version of what they already own.

Plus create-a-character franchises are sometimes difficult to do figures right for. They tend to be a slight niche market. Especially WoW where it's had troublesome sales in the past. The figures don't exactly move the volume that Hasbro is used to.

Overwatch on the other hand should move bucket loads.

Boy Blunder 05-22-2018 02:09 PM

Please, please, PLEASE give us the 6" Overwatch figures we want. I'll buy every one. I'll buy Rare/Epic Skin repaints. I'll buy exclusive retools. I'll buy BAFs of the larger characters. Just gimme gimme gimme!

Specifically, I would love to see, on top of the standard versions of the characters, some repaints/retools based on the actual lore-based alternate skins (original Overwatch Strike Team, Uprising and Retribution, Origins, etc)

En Sabah Nerd 05-22-2018 02:33 PM

Hasbro Overwatch!? Hell, it's about time.

Hopefully this is gonna be a 6" line like Legends or Black Series so I won't have to give Figma any more of my money.

Maverick 05-22-2018 06:41 PM

The nice thing is if hasbro does 6 inch OW figures theres a much better shot at the larger characters than with figma.

Brownfinger 05-22-2018 07:51 PM

Coooooooool.

Yeah, getting these characters in plastic form without having to pay bloated Figma prices would be fantastic. I loved NECA's Heroes of the Storm line and hoped to see Overwatch make its way there, but waiting seven months to buy two figures deflated much of my enthusiasm. Hasbro moves a lot of product, so I'm excited to see what they could potentially come up with.

WoW figures would be spectacular. There are enough heroes and villains in the lore alone to fill out several waves. BAF Kil'Jaeden or Argus? Hnnnnng.

Overwatch Lego makes sense, I selfishly would have preferred Mega Brands to have the license because their minifigures are significantly better. But Mega's distribution here is not great.

MeLikeJinx 05-22-2018 07:53 PM

Current Overwatch toy stuff are so expensive. The Figmas are like 60/70 dollars. The Nendos are like 50 bucks. Any cheaper alternatives would be welcome.

These are my current running thoughts. I got the Figma Tracer, it's a great quality figure but there's no damn way I'd ever get into collecting a line of figures if each one ran me $70+. With Hasbro I feel like we could get a D.Va with her Meka in a very comparable manner to their recent 6" Dewback with Sandtrooper for $50-60, with Figma a D.Va with Meka would probably be somewhere close to $200 based on how much a single figure costs. My only hope would be that they don't do BAFs and just do larger deluxe figures instead.

I wouldn't even get it because I don't like Bastion all that much but an actual transforming Bastion would be pretty cool to see, with Hasbro's recent attention to details in their Transformers lines I'm sure they could make it happen.

DarthKamen 05-22-2018 10:01 PM

I don't play Overwatch but I would so buy some 6" figures from it in a heartbeat.

I know, contrary to what collectors like to believe sometimes Hasbro know what they are doing and would have reasons not to pick up a license. The fact that NECAs Heroes of the Storm line didn't do well doesn't bode well for a regular retail WoW action figure line, but damnit, I want it.

This. I'll even buy characters I don't like to support an OW figure line.

jestermon 05-23-2018 04:58 AM

I'm not into Overwatch but mega would have made much better figures

I'm not sure people want to make much WOW merchandise mega realized those people spend their money on the game not toys.

Like a decade ago when I was still into anime I used to buy anime Figmas for like 35/40 dollars tops. Then I kinda stopped liking anime and stopped caring about Figma. Then I saw the Overwatch Tracer at Best Buy and Gamestop for $70 and was like... what? That's crazy expensive. I mean like what the heck happened? LOL. Are Figmas just twice as much now or is Activision/Blizzard just overcharging people to use their Overwatch license.

LOL. More like God, no. I hate Bastion... mostly I just hate his kit though... the 2nd most boring hero to play as behind Winston IMO.

Plus, I play solo que, quickplay with no mic... so getting achievements is especially hard for me and going after Bastion's ultimate quad kill achievement was the most not fun I ever had in Overwatch... just brutal.

Until one time I will never forget... Lijiang Tower... A Mei sent the "group up with me" message and I followed her into the center area... she ulted and freezed the entire room... I as Bastion ulted and killed 5 people. It was just the greatest sense of relief because I never have to play Bastion ever again after that. LOL.

the figma series has raised their price in last two years, their product is about 6000-8000 japanese yen now(on average).

It's on Figma's end of decision making (or their distributor, I don't know their ins and outs) since the Overwatch brand is used on other forms of merchandise without raising price, Overwatch pops from Funko are the same price as any others. Also, other new Figmas are also more expensive (saw Zelda from LoZ:TP listed as same price as Tracer at every store I checked). Hell, Figma is getting about ten dollars more expensive in the states just around the corner, US stores which sold Tracer for around $70 are listing Genji and Widowmaker at around $80. This fiscal factor alone is the huge reason that I always hoped some American company would do Overwatch, I'm fine with Figma keeping up their line but I really want an option that won't bleed my wallet with every character.

So I guess then it's not just us in the states feeling the bump.

BagJo 05-25-2018 08:59 AM

I don't play OW, but obviously they have some awesome character designs I may even get a figma or two). To me it seems like a Legends/Black Series type of line for these guys would sell like hot cakes.

I just hope they don't put forward a half-assed effort. They should put out 5-6 figures in their first line, with at least 4 of them being super popular characters. I'd also like to see them with fully painted accessories and maybe some FX parts over like a build-a-figure part.
