Oh boy, I need this big time. Hope they keep doing these Predator exclusives each year.

Dang... An instant classic! I totally could not have expected something like this for SDCC! My collection needs this badly... I might have to get two.

Also after some intense inspection I've gathered that the legs on this figure were reused from the First Blood Part II Rambo. In fact the upper torso might also be Rambo with a new overlay on top. The arms could be new, but I feel like it could be reused from an older figure.

All in all very clever reuse by NECA to get us a brand new figure. Even if we can't get the whole team I'm happy with any side character we can get!

If I'm right about the Rambo lower legs than he should be shorter than the Dutch figure. And Shane Black also happens to be the same height as Sylvester Stallone so I don't think you have to worry about the figure size.

Cool, and I will totally get this, but I still can't help but to be bummed. After all, think of all the great members of Dutch's team that we haven't gotten yet. Dillon, Blain, Mac...and instead we get the pussy joke guy.

This will be cool if we eventually get other members of the team, but on his own I can't get THAT excited.

I guess they scooped up Shane's rights while they were gathering stuff for the new movie.

They will eventually do the whole team, it's just a matter of time. If it makes decent revenue, they will do it.

I guess now that they're putting out Guillermo del Toro AND Shane Black in one SDCC it seems like NECA are putting in real effort to make a plastic version of every action/thriller director, lol. Oh, and let's not forget the James Cameron from a little while back.

I guess it's possible they rolled Shane's likeness into the whole package, yeah.

Possibly not...NECA has been hounding Carl Weathers for ages about doing a Dillon figure but the guy is tremendously flaky. He constantly feigns interest and then drops out of the talks. It's almost a running gag now.

As for Blain, I believe that Jesse the Body Ventura was either asking way too much money or just had zero interest at all. As for Bill Duke (Mac), I have no idea if he's been approached.

Speaking of Predator figures, I'd want a Mike Harrigan Predator 2 figure (Danny Glover) figure more than any other character at this moment in time. THAT would be a perfect fit for a con-exclusive.

No they won't, unfortunately. NECA can only do figures if they have the actors' likeness rights. For example, Dillon is a no go since the actor has not answered NECA's many attempts at contact.

i sold all my 1987 predator dutches
so im not *that thrilled either.
but if they make a mac, billy, blaine, or dillon
then this hawkins becomes more important.

i'd also like a Harrigan to go with that awesome ultimate predator 2 figure. i'd also like a maria conchita alonso CANTRELL figure!

Harrigan will never happen as long as Randy Falk is at NECA. He's been so opposed to making the figure on social media over the years you'd think Danny Glover cut him off in traffic or something.

Too bad Dillon will probably never happen, he's the only one that really needs a figure. Couldn't give two craps about Hawkins, what a boring action figure.

I have Apollo, I have Dutch. Uh! Dillon!

The best part of the latest Apollo is it conveniently comes with a second head which is more than suitable for a Dillon custom. Also means you can still use your Apollo and would only sacrifice a Dutch. Either way you still have two figures when finished.

As far as I'm concerned, Dillon was never part of the team. He was just the CIA liaison that was attached for this one mission.

Between his negative stance on RJ MacReady and Mike Harrigan figures - while giving the okay on far, far more obscure characters - I'm beginning to think Randy Falk is a severe super-weenie.

Yeah who would ever want that figure...
