this looks good but i prefer the modern look for Aquaman

Those actually look great! I’m definitely gonna pick them up. The Aquaman Head looks much better then I expected.

Black Manta looks much better with the alternate eyes that I didn't know he'd have.

Ankle rockers?

Nice! Quite excited for this one, especially knowing that you can switch around Manta's eyes which is a really nice plus.

Looking at the pictures I'm gonna guess not.

This looks dope. I'd definitely pick this up if I didn't already have all those characters. True, they still don't have ankle rocker joints, but the hip, wrist and knee joints are an upgrade from the DCUC articulation.
