Those are some really bright colours on the LotR figures, much more the way, I think, they would have appeared in Tolkien’s mind than the rather muted appearance of the costumes onscreen.

Some of these look tremendous. Did you read the blurb about the process of integrating real hair into Gimli's beard?

If they can make a Gandalf figure that resembles Sir Ian McKellen, they'll have my pre-order.
