what the best material for cape?

I'm thinking of replace a Superman figure's cape with a better, albeit cloth, material.
Can anyone recommmend a material to try, perhaps mmaybe from an arts and craft store?

Thanks alot.

I've found that using stretchy synthetics works best. I've done a few caddies using different types. Stay away from cotton as it frays easily. Synthetics won't fray,so you won't have to hem the outer bits, plus you can use fabric glue instead of needle and thread since the material is so thin. I don't recall the names of the materials but any fabric store should carry some options for you. Even Wal-Mart's might have them. Just feel for thin and stretchy.

If you decide to get fancy and use wire for a posable cape, just don't use anything pointy or leave blunt edges. You can use hot glue to round the wires. Hope that helps.
