The Alien dome must be plastic right? Or is it just painted very well?

$400 is a bit much for these pieces I think, I guess they weight a lot but I think if someone had $400 to blow they probably have more to spend on non-foam replicas.

The dome, I believe, is translucent plastic as Randy said the skull is sculpted underneath.

I wish the helmet could be disconnected / removed / separated from the 'plaque' and displayed by itself.
