Those Apocalypse pictures are awesome. I wish I could get my lighting to work like that. Not to mention whatever you used for the background building is incredible.

Lighting - that's years of trial and error with multiple units, and currently flashes. Can't easily explain that quickly.

The building - is actually the floor to Extreme Sets NELA Level 6 propped up.

I just put it far back so it blurred out. I was looking for something basic and neutral in color, saw that in my bin, and gave it a shot. It wound up working as a destroyed building way better than expected.

Might have to look into picking up a Typhoid Mary for an X-23 custom. The sculpt and outfit is pretty top notch.

All awesome figures, and a really nice quickie photo shoot. I miss Tony's epic tour-de-forces, however, so hopefully he gets a bit more time on his hands soon.

BTW, the Pork-Grind head would fit on the original Marvel Legends Venom figure (from the Absorbing Man wave), correct? Considering picking up an extra Venom for when Spider-Ham comes in the mail and want to go the cheapest route.

Ha, I have 7 galleries done and 17 more figs here to do, so time is not in the cards any time soon :). I spent fancy pants time on the BAF from this wave though, up later this week.

The katana is a painted version of the one that came with the most recent Psylocke.

The Pork Grind head fits on the older Venom, but the tones of black won't match up perfectly. The older Venom uses a flatter, matte black in comparison to the shinier, tinted Pork Grind head.

That's not Anti-Venom, it's a Poison (specifically the Spider-Man Poison). We got the actual Anti-Venom back in the Hobgoblin-BAF wave.

Head swap. Only want the outfit's sculpted details. So I guess you could say I'm using Typhoid Mary for her body, not her head. Change the legs, swap the heads, swap the hands, and it'd make a nice plain clothes X-23 custom.

It's an understandable mistake, Poison is a What If? original and a bit forgettable and obscure even among symbiote characters, while Anti-Venom up until a few months ago was appearing quite frequently.

Poisons, plural. Is more than a "what if". It's the entire "venomverse" event that's bleeding over into mainline Marvel. Started in edge of venomverse, then premiered in Venomverse, and has since had other appearances.

They're a relatively recent modern marvel thing. "What If" hasn't existed in over a decade. Marvel Multiverse is now "What is". Since they've rewritten the origin of all symbiotes, poisons are going to play a bigger factor later.

OK, but Poison debuted more than a decade ago in a "What If?" comic called "What If? Spider-Man The Other #1", and the description of the character states that this is that same Peter Parker.

And even if they are bringing him back in recent Venom comics, Anti-Venom has been far more recognizable as having the inverted white and black colors for years, so it's an easy mistake to make.

Yes but this is a completely different version of the character Poison. The back of the box for the figure was a screw up on Hasbro's part. This poison was peter parker who never got rid of the symbiote and helped the venomized avengers from across the multiverse fight an alien race called the poisons. One of which then infected him and created the character the figure is based off of. The poison from what if was peter parker who was infected with the symbiote after he died. Two completely different characters.

Yup. And they've got more storylines coming later too. Especially since they rewrote the origins of the Klyntar and how that ties into the Celestials. So the poisons are likely to get an interesting counterpoint origin to expand theirs too in how they are a symbiote predator.

Though "venomized heroes" might be more applicable. Wasn't directly Venomized Avengers though there were a bunch of them too. Really hope they do some of the other poison versions too. Deadpool Poison and Ghost Rider Poison, and many others were really freaking cool. And I'd love a GwenomPool too. She was an interesting breakout character from her ministory. Not really a fan of her Poison outfit though.

Most Poisons take the colors of their heroes non-venomized suit. In Spider-Man's case, he went more anti-venom colors because his spider suit wasn't so much a venomized version of his costume unlike the others. So instead it's inverted from the poison. Or potentially, based off of his future foundation suit.
