Funko toy is the popular item and a lot of people want to buy them. Will you too?

Harbinger 09-20-2018 08:03 AM

I so want that married with children set.

metalalchemist 09-20-2018 10:21 AM

I have always wondered how they get movie and tv series licenses so fast. Anyone knows?

They pay for them, same as any other company. They also don't need to negotiate any likeness rights, since they aren't required for any of their Vinyl figures. This reduces their product development time, as they don't need to wait for likeness approvals. Also, their products are extremely simplistic, requiring little time in development as well. When their IPO first launched, they boasted that they could get a product on shelves within (I believe) 8 weeks from license acquisition (for their Pop Vinyls).

Any word on where the MwC set will be available after the con?

CCC.

Augustus_Cole 09-20-2018 12:21 PM

if i was a pop collector

i'd want that spider-woman, meek & Korg, and carnage.

LordMudd 09-20-2018 12:37 PM

Did anybody else notice that Kelly has no joints?

CCC.

SpasticPlastic 09-20-2018 02:14 PM

Definitely going to track down the Bundy set.

LordMudd 09-20-2018 08:41 PM

Does anyone remember the old Aurora monster kits? They had one that was The Victim, a female, usually depicted as a blonde, for the monsters to terrorize. I see Kelly and I see the perfect victim for my UM figures. She might also make a good base for a couple of scream queen customs.

IIRC, that kit ended up getting recalled because a lot of parents were complaining about it. But yeah, she would make a cool stand in as a 80s horror movie victim.

She has hip joints only in another picture I saw. I think this is just a mock up - a good mock up - but not the final product.

dukefett 09-21-2018 09:04 AM

So the Married With Children set will also be available at Target? Are any of these actual Con exclusives then? Only interested in MwC, but curious.

BagJo 09-21-2018 09:04 AM

I think these Married with Children figures are way more interesting looking than the ReAction figures being offered at the same event. It's like these are stylized while also capturing the look of the characters extremely well. I look forward to seeing people take what I'm sure will be hilarious pics with these.

I hope so. It would be very disappointing with the other 3 fully articulated.

Yeah since these are just the cg models they work out the sculpt first then key in the joints afterwards.

Digital Ghost 09-21-2018 03:53 PM

I really want the Married with Children set. I'm just wondering if they'll sellout as quickly as the Golden Girls did a few years ago. That set now goes for $400 on ebay.

Masterless 09-22-2018 07:14 PM

That Spider-Woman set is going to be mine! Have been waiting for a POP of Jessica Drew! Awesome!
