Gonna disagree here. Especially in my circles. He's no more offensive than any of the movie characters, including Broly. He's a hurdle. Another excuse to show-off a new Goku form and sell more toys, just like the rest of them post Frieza. There are also far worse characters in the Dragon Ball world, which go way back to the original. But, everyone has their opinions.

Huh. They actually changed the bicep articulation on Broly. I'm not sure how to react to this, that seems to be a direct response to feedback on the first prototype. And, it's a great change, it should help with the posing quite a bit.

He's a bullshit one dimensional character who had his character shields on to the max. Freeza may have been powerful, but he wasn't invincible ever. The only reason Jiren lost the tournament is because of plot convenience requiring him to lose. He is hands down the most broken character in the franchinse as even Majin Boo wasn't as invincible as he was. Hell, Lunch had more character development than Jiren.

Yea, the thing is I'm not disagreeing with you. This description fits most of the villains in this franchise however. Frieza was also not one of them, nor did I say he was.

What he was was a cool obstacle for Goku to eventually because "...that's how this works" hurdle to thwart. And his fight with Goku and Co. was some of the best the series has seen.

I found the fights against Jiren to be rather boring because you knew he wasn't going to lose there. They made the fight between Goku and Freeza in the Freeza saga look exciting.

Then again, by the time we finally got to the episodes with Jiren fighting, I checked out. It was nearly 40 episodes long for something that was only supposed to be 49 minutes long.

Pass on this, worst villain ever, absolutly no charisma at all.

Not a Jiren fan, but it makes sense having him, since he was the main Super antagonist of the final arc. I would very much like Hit better.

Well, the end of the tournament arc. The next arc he isn't even featured and they're probably going to be bringing Cell back from the dead.

Picking it up. Makes no Sense that people wont buy him because you know he was strong, every badguy has been strong and every one of them had to lose and we knew it...just like we know Moro will get defeated...but I'm still going to read it then watch it and hopefully watch a movie where we know what will happen in the end...isn't that how it goes?

I find the design dull, but he is important so I'll likely pick him up if he's decently priced for the BF release.

He really isn't a bad guy. He's like hit just someone to push Goku to the next level. You guys should see Dragon Ball heroes there's a character stronger than him.

Of course there's going to be a stronger person than him, they need to just keep powering up Goku until he accidentally destroys the entire multiverse with a single Spirit Bomb.
