Obscure VW Beetle Police Toy Car Whistle (70's or 80's)
 

Hello fellow collectors,

For years now I have been searching for a toy I received as a kid. It was from a relative that visited Europe as well as being mobile throughout the United States via the 70's and 80's in a military family. I have asked them about the toy and none of them remember giving me the toy.

I have done thousands of internet searches throughout the years, with the likes of Lyco, Yahoo, Bing, and Google. I believe from these results that the toy must have been made by a smaller company or possibly one based in Europe.

Description of the toy from memory was, it was a white plasticvPolice (possible Polezei) VW Beetle Plastic Toy Car Whistle. It could have been German, but when I do a search with that in the title it shows a green car. The whistle could be used by blowing into the muffler which was the mouthpiece and then pushing on the emergency light at the top. The siren sounded like what I remember hearing from French Police, but I have heard this siren from other countries in Europe. I wasn't sure how to describe the siren, but I have seen from other toys that it is "Pee Poo".

I know I see that most of the posts are for current collectibles, but I am hoping there are some veteran collectors like myself who were around in the 70's and 80's and might remember this toy.

I couldn't attach an image or link because I am new and I apologize. I remember the car being white with a long muffler that was the mouthpiece for the whistle. The top emergency light was blue and when you pushed it down it would alternate from the "Pee" sound to the "Poo" sound. (Sorry if that falls into the realm of crass humor, which is only a coincidence.
