His torso looks WAYYY too long. WTF?

deecee4 11-14-2018 02:53 PM

Was really hopeful they were going to go with something closer to the MVC2 look when they got to Iron Man.

Maybe they will still. That’s more the Amazing Yamaguchi line’s thing.

Augustus_Cole 11-14-2018 03:28 PM

Revoltech is on the come up!!

Harbinger 11-14-2018 03:29 PM

Looks likes hes firing jizz missles.

Thor Laserpunch 11-14-2018 03:36 PM

If your jizz is blue you got problems.

Oh good. I totally forgot about they even made Revo Marvel figures that weren't Amazing Yamaguchi. Still tho, I think it's been awhile...I wanna say Ultron was the last one..?

Those blast effects look like suppositories lol.

Yeah, probably about that long ago, at least that I remember. Time to get that good old arms falling off action feature going again.

I’ll try my best not to confuse anyone. The last Revo “movie complex” figure made was actually IM MK-45 and it was the number 004 figure of the toy line. Ultron was the 002. Now, Ultron was sculpted by Yamagichi while MK-45 by Nobuchika. And they were both Kaiyodo so this makes MK-45 the last Kaiyodo figure to be made before the new wave we are seeing now with Deadpool, Spider, Venom, etc.

I’m exited that they chose this armor MK-37. Was not expecting that armor but I’m glad because neither Figma nor SHF has created one.

RamenRider 11-15-2018 12:18 AM

Pretty sure this is Amazing Yamaguchi, Deathstroke for example (who is displayed in the back) also had "Figure Complex" printed on his title card when he was revealed.

Seems silly to me to continue a different line of Marvel figures, also, this figure seems very stylized and the crazy accessories which aren't specifically based on anything scream "Amazing Yamaguchi" to me.

Yes. This figure is AY. It’s not mentioned here but one can tell just by looking at it. I’ve only picked up the Deadpools and the Spider-Man related figs. Iron Man is a must for me.

magma169 11-15-2018 07:31 AM

It seems to me this may not be AY, actually. They have produced a few Iron Man figures so far, the Figure Complex title was in all of them, along with the Mark/Armour name they were basing their figure off......
....
.....just like in this case.

The AY line is never specifying which version of the character we are getting (at least not in the "first" wave of releases), they are just releasing them as "Marvel's Wolverine/Spiderman etc".

In my opinion, this is 100% AY. Just by looking at the figure. It’s out of proportion just like all the AY toy line (the longer torso, the bigger hips/legs). All the older Revol IM figs were made (or at least attempted to be made) with more “realistic” characteristics.

Also, In this case AY has to specify because there are 50 armors. A lot of the look alike so, people need to know what armor they’re getting.

Again, this is just my opinion and I’m in no way picking on you. You could be right. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Well, I just did a little more research and MarvelousNews is also calling it AY Kaiyodo. Here are some photos of the article I found.

Bummer... I was hoping for a slight redesign of sorts. He still looks neat, but yeah. :/

I was hoping for something new too. That MK-45 they did was actually the best proportioned IM they've ever made IMO. If they would've just done different armors than those SHF of Figma never made I would've been so happy. Still waiting on Comicave to see if they're going to release that MK-39 or not.

deecee4 11-15-2018 01:55 PM

Looks like those blast mechanisms can be used for the back and legs as well as the arms. Slick.

What you posted originally makes more sense that it's probably AY. All the complex revo ones were movie based iirc. I wouldn't necessarily go by Marvelousnews cos they might just be using Amazing Yamaguchi interchangeably with Revoltech.

Anyhoo, what happened with Comicave? They still have stuffz I want.

True. So, Comicave has cancelled in the past the figures that they promised to release. MK’s 7, 21 and 39. Just recently they changed their minds and decided to go ahead and release them but MK-7 should’ve been last month and 21 this month and nothing yet again. I actually called BBTS yesterday concerning that issue and all they told me was that as of now they haven’t cancelled, so...fingers crossed that soon. But I’m not holding my breath.

Oh, I know all about cancellations and pushing back dates. I had no idea they were still planning on doing those. They better hurry their asses up! Where did you get this info btw? Their site looks pretty unupdated. I've been wanting to hear something on their True Material Suicide Squad figs as well.

And you know why bbts says Hulkbuster is pre-order? That might have been the last thing I remember them actually releasing.

So, for a while Comicave’s website was showing this figures as cancelled. Recently, they updated them to “coming soon”. There was a story a few months ago here at Toyark and it said that they had plans to go ahead and release them after all. It was confirmed because they were displayed once again at one of this years mayor events (I want to say SDCC but it could be another one). And, further proof is that I’ve had mine on pre-order at BBTS for over a year now. When they cancelled, BBTS send me an email stating that and they were taken off their website. Just recently, after that announcement they appeared back in pre-order status.

As for the Hulkbuster, it makes no sense to me too because that was released in Japan once before for sure. Unless they are re-releasing because they didn’t make enough figures maybe but I really don’t know and I don’t have one myself.

Let me see if I can find that article of the figures being shown again and I’ll post a link.

3233rafael 11-15-2018 03:17 PM

So, it was Toyfair 2018. They were displayed after they had been canceled.

I just found that myself and remembered looking at that link from the Diamond booth post. Brain not remember good. Thanks though.

I wonder if these same guys are all carried over from Play Imaginative on the business side of the company. They sure do not seem like they know what they’re doing.

True. I had forgotten about those. I only have the WM and the Iron Patriot.
