Custom Dino-Riders Monoclonius
 

A reinvisioning (Is that even a word?) of the classic Monoclonius figure from the 1988 Dino-Riders series. I've included a picture of the custom mono next to its classic counterpart for comparison. The chair and side weapons were heavily modified. Mako, the featured figure of the set, received a total repaint. The rest of the kit is scratch built with some good 'ol plasticard.

I had intended to follow this up with more redesigns of the series 1 Rulons, starting with the T-rex, once the Jurassic World 2 figures came out to take advantage of the higher detail, articulation and scientific accuracy. And also because modifying and repainting the classic dinosaurs would be both expensive and soul crushing. But I may wait a bit longer on that until the JW2 figures come down in price.

This makes my heart sing with glee. More than He-Man, MASK or even G.I.Joe, Dino Riders was my absolute favorite line as a kid. Fantastic job. This would be exactly what I would want in a franchise reboot.
