Not gonna lie, I'm a little put off by Myers being the tiniest bit taller than Jason, but it's such a fantastic looking figure, it's hard to care.

Myers gets double jointed arms though and none of the newer Jason's do? For that I'm calling party foul. Hopefully the upcoming Roy and Reboot figures get shown off later with this much needed addition.

I have to wonder if Roy will just use this body. The jumpsuit is so similar.

Awesome shots Joe! Love the ones of him in the NECA Dio, and picture 072 of the Jason mask with red eyes is sick! I’m really excited to own this one. Hope it ships before Christmas.

Thanks man. If we weren’t getting a Roy version of Jason, this would make for a great stand in.

Looks great, but I only care about the original design for Michael, so hopefully NECA gives us one next year (and a young Laurie since they're doing old Laurie).

You might be waiting a long time if they ever do another original Michael. Randy has been pretty vocal in the past that they can't get the first movie's license back and when this figure was announced he clearly stated that their current licensing deal is for the new movie only. Sometimes he has been deliberately coy about licenses to hide an upcoming reveal but the original Halloween continues to be one that he bluntly says NECA can't do.

Who owns the first movie license? Mezco?

After wacthing this super pics (Thanks a lot Joe for the idea!!), I´m thinking in to buy 3 Halloween 2018 Michael Myers.

1- Halloween 2018 Michael Myers
2- Roy - Using the same body, using one of the Part IV or V heads and painting the chevrons in blue and the t-shirt in white. (again, thanks for the idea Joe)
3- Halloween 1978 - Michael Myers - Modelling the 2018 head with a bit of clay and painting as in the movie.

The only thing that is a shame is you cannot see Roy face.

Neca recently teased a Roy figure about 2 or 3 months ago. You might just wanna hold off for that one.

While Mezco does have a license for the 1978 Halloween, it never sounded like it was the an exclusive license. Randy of NECA has said that they have tried to negotiate a deal with the rights holders at different times, but couldn't come to agreeable terms.

As for a Roy Jason, I would hold off in customizing one right now. As Trivial Psychic mentioned, NECA did tease the release of a Roy Jason a few months back. They also said they plan on doing every iteration of Jason at some point.

Thanks for the explanation guys. Hope that Neca and Mezco can share the licenses of some way, it Will be great to have in a future a MM1978 Ultimate figure, and why not, a 1/4 too with more articulation.
So, then only 2, and waiting for the Roy one instead of to customizing one.

Yes, I swapped the neck peg on the Myers figure for the one from the Part 5 Jason. It was very easy to do (just a little hot water and *pop*), and now the Jason head fits perfectly. The movie poster head looks so good on the Myers body (as opposed to yet another Part 4/5 Jason body...I already have several of those displayed with different Jason heads).

so when will he be available already? BBTS has yet to stock him, and I've been trying to be patient here.

I found him at Target the week before Christmas so BBTS should be getting him soon.

Yeah, found mine at Target as well. They seem to have gotten the Myers figure before anyone else.

BBTS usually gets stuff from NECA 17-24 days from the "shipping to retailers" date on the calendar. In Myers case, it was 12/17. So, hopefully by the end of this week, early into next. Then, don't forget the 3 days it takes them to actually process the order.

Edit: Apparently, it now takes at least 5 business days to process an order. Sheesh.

Gonna resurrect an old thread here, but the re-releases of the 2018 Michael Myers have new headsculpts! At first I thought it was new face printing tech and paint, but they're actually slightly larger too!
