Neca Coheed and Cambria figures

Neca is making figures based on coheed and Cambria. Nothing on if it's characters or bandmates.

It’s characters, coheed and cambria kilgannon

And nothing is official, in the development stage

Dolemite 02-15-2019 08:55 AM

Coheed and Cambria? Who?

Yeah, The Thing/MacReady is TOO OBSCURE but figures based on an aging, middling rock band will be HUGE SELLERS.

Seriously, what the fuck.

They’ll sell these on tour or as an album bundle and will move a bunch of units. Clearly they sold enough masks from their last collaboration to give neca some faith in the brand

Nothing against these guys, but yeah, The Thing would sell waaaay better than figures of these guys. We're just mad that NECA is ignoring fan requests in favor of random licenses no one, or very few people asked for.

The band is developing toys and is working with NECA. NECA didn't pay them huge sums of money for their likeness rights. Maybe the band is even paying NECA to manufacture their creations. If you read this article or listen to the audio and honestly believe that NECA sought these guys out to make figures, paid them a ton of money to do so, and said, "Screw our fans, this band is all that matters", then you are delusional.

Bands design and sell merch. What bands can't do, usually, is also manufacture it. They hire a company to produce their merchandise. Whether it's stickers, T-Shirts, CD's, records or even toys.

Yeah it’s the same as the Scream Factory collection... SF is probably covering all the costs and neca is getting guaranteed sales for 3000 figures. Probably the same as that Anthrax figure. Pretty much commissions. These aren’t taking anything away from the regular lines and are a good way to do niche products and test different markets
