How is McFarlane gonna compete with Storm Collectibles

Easily! Storm may have better quality overall but they take ages to release one figure, whereas McFarlane's stuff will be cheaper, have somewhat decent quality if their last few toylines are any indication, and will come out much more frequently. That Injustice Bane is killer though...

Seriously that Cyrax is AMAZING!

I'm curious as to why Storm stuff is always pending licensor approval. Why is it that McFarlane and NECA can get theirs through so much faster and Storm is here with 12+ month delays. It seems to me that is the main problem here as the sculpts are done.

Since they deal with a lot of video game properties, it more than likely has to do with the gaming companies themselves. Many are protective of their franchises and how they are represented.

Capcom for example is notorious for being difficult to work with as they don't want their franchises portrayed the wrong way (such as their infamous cancellation of the Bloody Sagat vs Ryu two pack during mid shipment back when Sota Toys held the license.)

Because in the original mortal Kombat he was just a palatte swap using Scorpion's movelist before they later on gave him his own unique moves.

Finally, Guile, I cannot wait to get this figure. Probably take two more years. I am a little underwhelmed with Bane. I dont know what I expected but I dont like it as much as I thought I would. It needs to be with Batman probably. That Darkseid is great. We have been seeing Darkseid and Lobo at how many Toyfairs now?
Isnt it kinda time to get some of these out?

lobo and bane looks great but i have an issue with banes mask and lobos long hair. i think lobo should have long but shoulder lentgh hair and the bane mask looks too steam punk-ish. i like the classic black and white mask.

Those figures all look great! Even the Gears of War figures. Oy thing I hope Cole gets hands soon before his final release since he needs to have some to hold his weapons. Also hope we get all the rest of Delta-One Squad like we need a Dom, Braid and Carmine to complete the crew. I would even love some locus to go with them and alternative heads for other characters like a screaming Marcus head when he's chainsawing a locus in half.

My biggest argument- The Cole Gears figure doesn't come with a lancer, instead, one of the weakest rifles in the game, the Hammerburst. I hope they fix this before release.

This is true. I am at the point where I am just happy to see the characters in great figure form. I dont even really anticipate getting them because who even knows if we will. They could lose the license by the time they eventually get some of these figures out.

Honestly the way Darkseid has hovered over all of these displays it could be an evil plot. Put out prototypes and never put them at retail. Pretty sinister.

there is SOOO much here i want.

For years my two all-time favorite franchises have been Street Fighter and Gears of War...with some things being hit or miss.

Storm has grabbed both of them and is KILLING IT!!!!..


Sagat - Absolute must have. Looks amazing.
Guile - Must have. looks great
Cammy - While the sculpt is TIGHT AS FUGG..i would have preferred her normal look first. But this is still great.

(SF needs 5 more characters after this to finish up the original 12. if they can at LEAST achieve that before this ends I'll be happy, even though there are tons more great figures I'd like to see)

Marcus - Must buy
Cole - MY NUMBER FUGGIN ONE PURCHASE!!!.. WOOOO BABY.. this is my dude.

Bane looks insane..must have. Lobo the main man looks great (but a little large).
the only one from MK or DC i'm not feeling too tough is Darkseid. I'm not a HUGE fan of the character but i do like him. I'm just not feeling that injustice look. That one could be a pass for me.

Ali any Tyson - absolute must haves.

the world heroes and king of fighters don't move me as much because i didn't go hard on those games back in the day.
and the golden axe dude is a hard pass up there looking like a male stripper.

Storm Collectibles....I love you. My excitement is at a 10 now!!!

Sagat and guile look awesome! Can’t wait to add them to my collection. I have the bison battle costume already ordered. Not sure if I need or want that cammy. Would have preferred a classic costume.

I wonder why they did not show Mileena, Kitana, or the sub zero unmasked figs that they had shown at previous conventions. Or heck the lui kang dragon animality either.

And those gears of war figures are the figures I never knew I wanted so badly!

Storm is literally killing me because everything I see I want and looks amazing but know it will be a decade between each release . . . so literally killing me!

Ax Battler from Golden Axe looks amazing, as does everything else they've previewed
