Wow that unmasked head really captures the hohumness of larson. I hate to say it but man was she uterly lifeless. Hopefully a minerva head will come with this too. I hope she, minerva, shows up more in the mcu. I did love goose. He was great. Its funny but i really liked the star force uniform colors.

Wasnt trying to. I just felt she just kinda phoned it in like she wasnt really into the role. And yeah she didnt smile much....but i just felt she coulda been a bit less wooden in the performance of the role is all. Otherwise i thought it was a decent film.

I find it funny that these comments only seem come up in Captain Marvel threads. Yet the majority of Marvel Select, Marvel Legends, Hot Toys, One:12 all have simple static faces.

I agree. Bland unmasked heads dont really do much for the display factor.

The hardest thing with that is that it's hard enough to get an actors likeness in a standard portrait. Getting them to look right with say, a screaming head, tends to get a bit tricky. Tamashii tries to varying degrees of success.

Despite the fact that the expression makes her look like a mannequin... Are we gonna get this figure in her red and blues? Hopefully not as a Disney Store exclusive...

They haven't said yet. At least not that I've seen. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Disney/Marvel Store exclusive. Just seems to be what they do with variants.

That unmasked head looks just like the girl who plays Dagger on Cloak & Dagger.

I'm excited to see the film and I'm sure I will find it entertaining, but from jump I have heard people complaining that she is emotionless and very dull. I'm not super familiar with any of her roles so I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but I feel like a lot of the bad PR has been from peoples dislike of Brie Larson and not her acting or performance as Captain Marvel, they just can't get over the fact that they don't like her.

Hopefully after I catch the flick I don't feel the same way about her, but I bet I will still be able to enjoy the movie as it will continue to connect dots of this decade long story they have been telling us.

Odd, I didn't hear people complaining that the Punisher didn't smile much. Or Daredevil. Or many of the male live-action Marvel characters, for that matter. How very strange that this one character is the first one getting called out for that. I wonder why?

You like all women? I think that statement is trying a bit too hard. Whatever your political or moral standpoints may be there are plenty of women you shouldn’t like on each front of the social landscape. Saying ‘all women are great!’ Is not equality- it’s just pandering.

This figure just looks bad to me. The costume is ugly with dull paint apps and the face looks like nothing. Just gives off a pretty cheap vibe like a poorly executed custom attempt at a Captain Marvel figure. MS is going downhill.

For the record, I didn't find anything wrong with any of YOUR posts. I mean, the weird hate against the movie from random triggered man-babies aside, this figure DOES look pretty meh. Compared to the Captain Marvel Legends figures, the Marvel Select one (as someone else pointed out already) looks kinda cheap and the expression on her face almost seems like a parody of the "she doesn't smile" nonsense. She looks comatose.

But then again, Marvel Select figures on average look far worse then their respective Marvel Legends counterparts. I mean, check out the ML Spider Gwen vs. the MS Spider Gwen. The MS version looks like complete garbage.

Hey the punisher smiles.....after annihilating bad guys. Dd smiled after boinkin’ elektra. Hell even ironfist cracked a slight grin. ;) i guess , for me at least, i just felt she coulda been more enthusiastic instead it feeling liked she stepped outta of a jedi council meet from the prequels. Hopefully shes a bit more energetic ( nopun intended ) in endgame, and please let them cameo starfox and nova.

But I do have at agree with you on how the Star Wars prequels made the Jedi go from mysterious, deadly warriors to a bunch of boring-ass douchebag stiffs. Hell, even Sam Jackson couldn't save those assholes. Maybe if the Jedi smiled more...

Hey now Matt's epic shit-eating grin from the season 2 stairway fight is the stuff of legend. Not sure I'd want to see a Punisher blowing the bad guys away with a ol' big smile on his face though. That might look a bit too creepy.

As for the figure the unmasked head does look like she's bored to tears. I think it's the eyes.
