NECA is about to make me eat crow on my statement and general lack of faith regarding releases of Ultimate Jason figures pretty soon. And I can't be happier about it...no complaints. *reaches for the ketchup...

This was a much-needed update, and the new tooling really looks great. I hope this means we will also see a version of FvJ Demon Freddy in the near future.

Holy shit, that figure looks amazing. And HOLY SHIT THE TEDDY BEAR!!!! HE ACTUALLY COMES WITH THE TEDDY BEAR! Greatest accessory ever!!

I'm being 100% serious, by the way. I actually own the old Sideshow Collectibles FvJ Jason that came with the exclusive teddy bear accessory. There's just something about Jason having a teddy bear that just seems so right. It was a bummer he was only seen holding it in a promo photo and not in the FvJ movie itself. NECA is awesome for including it.

This is a very unexpected and pleasant surprise! I was totally expecting an NECA to release an ultimate version of Jason takes Manhattan but this is an excellent substitute and the fact that it’s coming relatively soon is a plus.

I’m kind of surprised they didn’t give this figure their double-jointed elbow style, but as long as he gets 90 degrees or above I’m not complaining!

The only thing that would’ve put this figure over the edge for me is if they were able to include soft plastic flames to wrap all over his body to simulate the scene where he is fully engulfed in flames in the cornfield. I really hope NECA can still make that happen as an accessory pack or maybe if they release additional flame accessories for Jason in an ultimate Freddy versus Jason Freddy figure, which is now a MUST with this figure’s impending release.

I’m now expecting an Ultimate Freddy Versus Jason battle damaged 2 pack that gives everything from this release plus an alternate fingerless hand for Jason, a severed Freddy arm and a severed winking Freddy head.

this figure looks good BUT im waiting for Neca to do a New Blood version, how come neca has skipped that version? the new blood version is where you can see his skeleton thru his clothes...

I don't pick up each vorhees that comes out, but this is a must have, it looks great.

OMG!!! This is the figure that I’ve been waiting for NECA to make. Now if they will do a Freddy figure to go with him I will be happy.

It seems like we can just about guarantee a Freddy is coming because of Jason's box.

Easy wins combined with tooling and sculpt. They did Part 7 in 2005 but he was in a pre determined pose with limited articulation. Looking at that figure it is unlikely just a matter of adding articulation and would need to be 100% redone.

I dare say we will get 7, 8 and 9 in 2020 and hopefully a two pack for X.

ohh yes, i would like a Jason X & jason/manhattan figs. ill buy that instantly.

Were Jason's boots really that disco-tastic in the movie? I can't remember haha

They were. Platforms were added to the boots as both an artistic liberty and for practical reasons, as the director wanted Jason to have more of a Frankenstein look and feel to him, while giving actor Ken Kirzinger a few more inches of height so he would tower moreso over Robert Englund (who is around 5'10".)

Hard to find a clean shot on the net, but you can clearly see the platform on his left boot here, as well as in several shots in the movie (such as the scene where Jason beats down the door in the sleep lab...)

(Gotta love the naked, pale flesh showing in the holes of his pants that they didn't bother to cover with makeup while he was in wardrobe in this shot...lol. Attention to details!)

Oh Hell Yeah! I bet down the road NECA would make a Retro clothed version of this Jason as well.

Love it. I’ve got the 18” NECA statue of FvJ Jason and it’s one of my favourite possessions.

This and part 7 are the two I’ve been waiting for. In my view they’re the two best looks for him. Zombie Jason and Frankenjason. Love the flame effect and teddy bear.

This is unexpected, Very cool! 3 removable masks sounds awesome, and I love the Teddy Bear. I too have the original Sideshow figure with the exclusive teddy bear. Also have the original NECA FvsJ boxset, and yeah it needs an update. Can’t wait!

It's a bummer that we won't see the Freddy any time soon (if ever) and that this may be one of the last Jason's we see for a long time from them.

What happened? Did mcfarlane get the rights? I didn’t hear about this with neca.
