Can we actually get a God Dang Robocain figure this century?

The problem is he would be crazy expensive to produce. The number of parts on a 7” scale version would just drive that cost up too high. And there’s no potential for parts to be reused, so you can’t spread that cost out over multiple releases. I’d say the ReAction Robocop line is the best bet, since they can better get away with simplifying details. That or a company who can better get away with a high price.

This looks nice, but after multiple Robocop purchases from NECA, the only way I'll ever buy another Robocop figure is if it comes with a fully unmasked helmet with Peter Weller's likeness. But that unfortunately may never happen since nobody can get his likeness rights. :(

I seem to remember watching a video that compared articulation between the original silver NECA version and MAFEX, where MAFEX came out on top. Can anyone corroborate that?

I'm not sure if there is a video, and I'm a bit too lazy to try and find one if there is...but being that I own both figures, I can tell you without a doubt that the Mafex one blows the Neca one clean out of the water where articulation is concerned. Only the Hot Toys version has better articulation, and that's debatable, as much of it is in the hands with the individually segmented fingers, where with the Mafex one, he could strike poses that Bruce Lee would approve of...

Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to know. :thumbs

Thank you for saying this. A lot of collectors (not necessarily Black Arbor) think companies just fart out prototypes. Three Robocops makes some sense considering the character is somewhat of a Sci-Fi icon (for lack of a better term). I can’t imagine any money being made on a premium RoboCain figure.
