Any info on the maker of this toy?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,
My friend has just shown me this lovely frog which she has owned for thirty years. He has a tag with ‘Heyden Australia’ on his ear. He was made in Korea, it doesn’t say north or south...just Korea. The most amazing thing about him though is that he croaks. He has this old croaking mechanism inside him and he’s absolutely wonderful to hear. I’ve tried to search for him on the internet but nothing seems to come up. Is there anyone out there who could help with more info? I’ve never heard a frog with a croaking mechanism inside, even during my collecting years so I’m pretty sure he’s quite unusual! Thanks very much! BTWBmonster :) |
Based on it's quality, I would saw it was purchased at a Zoo gift shop. I remember some stuffed toys having a plastic case inside with a metal ball that when rolled around it would rub the sides of the case and it sounded very much like a croak. Not sure if that is the same mechanism here or not. I only know how they worked because me and my brother were amazed by the feature and eventually tore up the stuffed animal to figure it out.
