The new Mego company - initial thoughts
Just curious what the overall impression is from collectors on this new company (with a vintage name). Personally I have liked some of their stuff, but the licensing has been all over the place and their insistence on leaning on generic characters (with a blue million variants) instead of investing in popular lines to build an identity for themselves has been odd to watch. Not sure where the demand would be for a company to just make random characters with no direction. Thoughts?

I have 3 of the Universal Monsters. I like them enough for the price, but they are the only ones I was interested in. The rest look pretty rough to me. I agree they seem to be making odds and ends with no real focus. I really wish their larger scale DC figures were better, but between the long necks and weird faces, I just can't justify the purchases.

New Mego seems to be following Exclusive Premiere's (remember them?) business model.

The original Mego pioneered 3 3/4" action figures, but these people are not doing any. I guess they are just coming up short. ;) :D
