I mean, not really. When it's a fan-demanded figure like Ultimate Big Chap, that's hardly a cash grab...

A lot of whining on this thread.

I'm pumped for this. Ultimate articulation, new hugger and burster sculpts, that egg is really cool looking. I wonder if there will be new egg cartons with the tendril base eggs and these facehuggers.

Wait a minute are the fingers for the facehugger bendable? they have different angles in the pics.

It's about time they revealed this. Looks like some added articulation and a new paintjob. The dome looks better, and and the new facehugger, egg, and chestburster look spot on.

My biggest concern however is quality control. Neca has not had the best track record when it comes to xenos, especially the big chap. I never picked up the wave 2 big chap because there were so many reports of breakages and defects. I never saw a trace of the walmart reissue, and even those had problems if I remember correctly.

I really need a 79 alien for my collection. I've had to make due with using a modified isolation alien, but it's just not right. I really hope this turns out.

While this is a great looking figure the sculpt is hardly new on it.

This figure is basically a repaint of the Aliens series 11 Kenner Blue Big Chap figure. That figure had the new ultimate articulation with the double jointed elbows, lack of biceps swivels, bendable rail with swivel joint, and new double knee joint figures long before this was released.

I also wish we had a closed Alien egg to go with it. That would be the only other accessory I think this figure needs to really be ultimate.

Perhaps they may do an egg pack at some point. They seemed to imply there was more for the 40th so perhaps an egg pack is part of that. We know Brett is happening but he wasn't there so there's likely more. Alien 40th anniversary and no Riply.

This pack could have been more of an ultimate if they packed in the actors head.

Ok..ok..what's The blood draw on this figure ? ? Any one know ?? I need a big alien after my mother threw my original one out the 9th floor window �� when i was a kid at my uncle (yes im in therapy for this figure)��

This one's only like 9" tall, in scale with 7" human figures, and will be around $27 to $30 based on recent ultimate figures. The bigass 1/4 scale Alien though will probably be like $140, no less than $120, and that one's near two feet tall.

Thank the gods for it too, cuz I plan on getting multiples of this.

Anyone have issues with the waist articulation on the series 2 Big Chap? Mine is all floppity. That might be reason enough to consider this, if I can find it for a reasonable price.

Depending on which version of the Chap you have, the articulation on this one is likely to have some changes.

Judging from the pics, there is a slight wash on the figure and the egg has a different mold. I don't have the egg pack they came out with a while back so I couldn't tell you if it's reused from any of those molds.

New articulation (will go into that in the review), new paint job, new translucent dome, egg is completely different, new facehugger.

I have whatever version has the milky white accurate dome.
