Man, they're not wasting any time with the Batman announcements.

As long as I get a Terry McGinnis eventually I won’t complain though. Batman Beyond is a suit which has never really been done justice in action figure form IMO; I think these guys could pull it off.

I really like my Mezco One: 12 Dark Knight Returns Batman but this looks great and would be more ideal for displaying. Will have to get this.

You're totally right - this should’ve been blue instead of black.

Maybe they hold some stuff back for a second release.

I imagine, like Mezco, they'll do the blue variant as well. Mezco actually did a third release (there is a lighter blue/grey combo, a navy blue/dark grey combo and this black and grey version). If Mafex does all 3, I may have to triple down.

"edit" Cripes now that I think about it, I think Mezco also did a Black and White variant (not comic accurate). I know they did for Judge Dredd but I seem to remember they did one. If Mafex does a black and white variant I'd pass.

You're missing two more variants. The PRCC with dark blue and yellow chest symbol and the light blue with black chest symbol from SDCC.

Dang your right, I seem to remember some Puerto Rican convention exclusive now that you say that.

It's a nice variant, it just sucks it's nearly as rare as the b&w one so I'll always be 2 short of a six pack.

The portrait also seems to be a big improvement over the RAH

In the comic he switched between different colors. So he wasn't just blue he would switch between black and blue even a lighter blue it even was in a lot of covers and artwork. Still I think they'll make multiple repaints of this and it'll look great. I'm glad it's not the same body as the Hush figure which I was worried they would've done that from the early pics from the Medicom Toy Exhibition.

Agreed- I am waiting for a decent Batman beyond myself. Would be an instant buy if they released one

This won't happen purely because Nicholson demands massive amounts of money for use of his likeness. It's why NECA and others couldn't make a Nicholson Joker figure. They've talked with Nicholson's people about it, the money they ask is too much.

Looks very good! I hope we'll have a couple of extra features, like the grapnel. But still a need: Pre-ordered!

Well it wouldn't do them much good anyway since sadly they can't make DC figures that aren't special convention exclusives. Even then the backers would need to be either positively massive in numbers or each one would have to pony up some serious cash for those rights which are apparently set so high that even a full blockbuster budget movie like Ready Player One considered them to be too much. I don't see the dedicated NECA fan base being able to pull that off.

The petition is kind of a joke anyway...like who makes a petition for a toy...but it would be equally as funny if people signed it. Who knows, maybe it takes off and it get the right attention. Maybe Jack will ease up a bit and let them do one.
