Transformers Generation 2 Combat Hero Megatron aka Archforce

Here's a cool piece from my Generation 2 Transformers Collection. This guy is the European version of the Decepticon Combat Hero Megatron, named Archforce:

Same toy, different name and identity. For years I just had him pegged as a guy who looked up to Megatron and decided to make himself look like him!

Unfortunately the design has a few glitches, he's tricky as all heck to balance because his feet are small, so getting him into a decent fighting pose is a challenge. But hopefully I managed to make the 'bot look dangerous in this shot.

This picture was one I shot for the TFW2005 Resources section, you can visit the entry for the guy to learn more about him.

Very nice.

The best thing about this figure is the lack of the stupid stickers the American one had.

The combat heroes were awesome, not only were they great reimaginations of the famed leaders but they were also the first fully articulated versions made! I still kick myself for not buying them back in the day. I did get Laser Rod Prime though. Nonetheless, I always hope we see Megs and Prime repainted in their G1 colors in a 2 pack, these were great figures!

I have the Bludgeon repaint of Megs, it's great. I still want the combat hero prime though, I just don't want to pay through the nose for it.

I had the Optimus, a much treasured toy. I stupidly painted all over it some years later, I wish I hadn't.

I'm hoping to buy another, and finally get Megatron too when I have more money. Usually when I get expendable income I dive into the G2 line, I'm working my way slowly through it. I don't know what it is, but I'm just obsessed with it. It's full of the gaudiest shit ever but I love it. It. It. It.

I've always been super interested in the Bludgeon and Scourge repaints, but man, I could never find em at retail and I've always felt the prices sellers throw em on eBay and such for are ridiculous so I've pretty much given up on them. KB Exclusives were always my enemy.

I got the Destructicon Scourge back when it came out over here, it is a beauty of a repaint. I prefer it to Combat Hero Prime, actually.

Same here! I feel the same way about G2 Laser Optimus Prime [<RiD Scourge].

Great photo btw! :)
