This is probably a NYCC exclusive since it's done and in package already. I don't know Black Mask well but I like him for a goon. Hopefully this is $160 max. I don't really need another Batman and don't understand why he doesn't have every head the other ones come with.

Saturday (9/21) is Batman day. That’s why I think it’s a Batman day exclusive. The SDCC DKR Batman vs the Mutant Leader was $150 when it came out. I realize that was some time ago but, based on that, $160 seems reasonable.

Looks good. Wish black mask’s head was a tad larger to reflect it’s an actual mask, not his face... can’t really tell... is mask using the same head as red skull? That might explain it if so.

Seems likely Black Mask may have a standard release with a white suit.

Cripes! This is probably a set I'm sure I will miss out on securing. A Saturday pre-order is different, pretty cool to do that for Batman day. I like that Black Mask seems to kinda be bits of their Agent Gomez release and maybe some John Wick, good idea on their part since they've already got everything to do a Black Mask figure. They could have just used the black skull from their Gomez release so pretty cool they did a whole new head. Hope he gets a single release though, like the Mutant Leader after he had originally only been included in the SDCC exclusive 2 pack for The Dark Knight Returns that year.

It's not confirmed, but at least for me, I think it's logical because if they were just making one version of Black Mask, an entirely black suit isn't really a look he's ever sported, so it feels more like a variant to match with the all-black Batman it comes with. If they do a normal version I'm expecting either the white suit mentioned, or at least a black suit with white inner shirt.

Yes, my statement is an assumption.

The reason being, as people said, is his standard look is usually a white suit. Also, while the cost to produce Black Mask is likely low compared to others, given that it's a effectively Gomez/John Wick with a special portrait and slight tailoring changes, there is a lack of diversity in Batman villains in releases as of late.

But, like with Beyond, it could be an odd one-time deal.

Yeah, I had a slow down on the two click-throughs during ordering that made me think I was going to get a timeout/DNS error, but went smooth. No crashes FTW!

It's not. It's definitely a new sculpt so it's not reuse of Red Skull's head but I understand it might bug people on it needing to be a tad bigger to look like a mask that or Black mask haves a small head and it just looks slightly bigger with the mask on.

Was lucky to secure this after 2 card errors while re-entering the card info on the laptop but it went through switching to mobile. Idk why Mezco's site haves that card reading issue when you place an order. It only happens with exclusives I'm noticing.

It was my first time ordering from Mezco directly. Kept F5ing right before 1pm and everything went pretty smoothly for me. Really liking this set. I want to see a really good "I am Bane" figure from them next though.

Black Mask wearing a black suit was actually quite the standard for many years since the introduction of his black skull mask, but the idea of him wearing a full white suit is something that's been normalized in more recent years (a recent update to his look that I actually like). Likewise I'll echo the sentiment that I'd wish Mezco would release him by himself in a white suit, especially since his mask design here is blatantly inspired from his appearance in Arkham Origins.
