Please include the Basic Clone Trooper in the next black series archive wave!

Chopper Face 11-01-2019 06:39 PM

That robe on Plo Koon is worse than what you’d get on a Lego toy. A tragic effort but everything else about him and Kit Fisto is awesome.
Hasbro is doing wonders for custom cloth goods market as their stock stuff is so bad no self respecting collector could possible stomach putting it on display so we‘re compelled to upgrade.
Anyways those two are a great addition to the prequel collection. Really hoping for Aayla Secura, Shaka Ti and Luminara Unduli at some point too.

Skoob 11-01-2019 07:36 PM

They sure botched Luke and Threepio. The old figures from 40 years ago looked better than these.

Exile8782 11-01-2019 08:48 PM

That luke looks just like the one we got a got home of yrs ago. . .that's pretty pathetic honestly

Vamp 11-02-2019 12:31 AM

Kit Fisto is a must buy from me.
the moment i see him, i will buy him

lordbest 11-02-2019 12:42 AM

Definitely going to get both of the PT Jedi. I really hope they make Shaak Ti next.

Colossus Prime 11-02-2019 07:27 AM

Hmmm... AoA Sunfire, and AoA Wild Child with a chain going off into nowhere. Almost as if it's being held... Hmmmm.... :)

User897 11-02-2019 08:42 AM

Easy pass on the prequel stuff. Of all the C-3PO molds to use, they choose the WORST. All of these figures need NEW tooling. Rehashing terrible ideas seems to be Hasbro's MO lately.

Lucca Con

How about those super cool statues of Peter Sellers, Bud Spencer, John Wayne, Spock and Steve McQueen introduced there. Not worth mentioning?

Chili 11-02-2019 12:00 PM

I know it's far-fetched, but Kit Fisto with an alternate smiling portrait would have been amazing!

...are they from Hasbro? If not, they're irrelevant to this thread.

Dolemite 11-02-2019 02:00 PM

Why is everyone jizzing over Kit Fisto? Didn't he get killed like a bitch by the Emperor in like 2 seconds?

cool character design, and was a good and fun character in media outside the movies

Really interested to see how they'd handle Shaak Ti's dress/robes. Probably just the same ol' base fabric with plastic overlays. Kinda surprised they haven't hinted at an Aayla Secura figure yet. Always felt like Hasbro had some kind of obsession with her when the films were being released.

On separate note...I know it's never going to happen but after the new Star Wars comics from Marvel, I truly want a Jocasta Nu figure...Stop laughing, I'm not even kidding.

He was definitely a cool character.. it was just shitty writing and directing in the actual movies that made him look like a shit biscuit.

snake5289 11-03-2019 10:07 AM

I am a-okay with them re-releasing older VC figures since I couldn't find some of them and they're stupid expensive online.

ddarko 11-03-2019 11:44 AM

Is that a redesigned costume for Jean? Also, the paintwork looks much cleaner than usual in those pics....

Redesigned as opposed to what? Apologies if that sounds snarky, my intent is merely looking for context. It is Age of Apocalypse Jean, and is spot on to that look.

And on that note: Man that's a lot of AoA figures so far. Really tugging at my nostalgia strings.

Also: DOOOKUUUUUUUU!

nerdyQWERTY 11-03-2019 12:12 PM

At least Dooku doesnt have a sports bra like the SHF version

Jeddostotle7 11-03-2019 01:47 PM

Really like that Hasbro's taking a swing at the "swinging motion blur effect" blade for a lightsaber, and it looks like they might have done it better than Hot Toys did, with one side being the normal parallel-to-the-hilt angle it normally is and the blur extending from it in the other direction like it should be, instead of having both sides equidistant from where the blade actually should be.

EvilMonkeyPope 11-03-2019 03:02 PM

I was really excited for that Wicket until I found out it was a rerelease instead of a Black Series.
Does Dark Beast not have elbow spikes? He needs them!

Naa not snarky at all :)

I was thinking her typical look with the yellow and blue. This one:-

I haven't read AoA, but looking it up, this one is definitely faithful to that version.

I don't know how it would work on a physical lightsaber blade, but I felt like since the blade always has this white center with darker colors on the outer edge that maybe the blades shouldn't be translucent plastic, unless there's a light source inside the lightsaber(like those old electronic Power of the Force figures from the 90s).
