Star Trek 2 - Spock Statue
|
I like the idea, but there's something awkward / unnatural about the rigid stance, with legs spaced so widely. Better might be to bring the feet a little closer together, relax the knees, and tilt the head slightly downward, more relaxed and contemplative. That would help to cover minor mistakes in the head sculpt, too. And the tunic should come down just a little more over the crotch. Just my opinion.

I think it's supposed to be a military "parade rest" stance. Funny about the tunic looking too high because, according to behind the scenes lore, it would always ride up on Nimoy on set so he was always adjusting it. And you can clearly see him adjust it as he gets up from the floor during his death scene.

That's a terrific looking piece, I think. It's nice enough at least to give me that tug towards having a cool ST statue display...

Um, that's not the correct U.S.S. Enterprise. That is from the 2009 Kelvin Timeline film. Spock is from the original canon.
