Shredder blends into the background... Literally a game sprite

I like the look of this Shredder better than the first arcade version. Just preordered the wave at BBTS. I hope we get a 3rd wave with the Dimension X figures.

Gotta try and get the game Slash. NECA said on FB they will not be making that design in any other color scheme. Gonna have to repaint it.

They confirmed that? That sucks. As much as NECA repaints stuff there's always a chance they'll rerelease it but I guess I'll have to snag it if I see it.

I just want the cartoon version they showed here.

I too would love to own a regular paint scheme for Slash. Honestly I would like to have both. My guess is that they want to steer clear of doing anything similar to Super7, which is making a more Playmates Toy style line. Theoretically NECA could make a Mighty Mutanimals version from the Archie Comics, but it’s a long shot.

I think you could just remove the pixels if the base platics are those colors.

They will not be doing non-pixelated version of video game slash, for those that find the cartoon version too ridiculous looking. Hated cartoon Slash in 1990, hate him today.

I already have the turts but NECA has my number on this...that game, mixed with tmnt, done. I can't make the decision not to buy belligerently. I'm screwed XD

Yeah I mean they even made the accessories for the cartoon Leatherhead, so I hope they come out with that one. The game Slash is totally different looking from the cartoon one so it makes sense they wouldn't use the same mold.

Cartoon leatherhead is part of the upcoming Toon Slash/Leatherhead set.

I KNOW they aren't using the same mold. My issue is that Neca isn't giving the option of a non-pixelated version of the game mold. It looks AWESOME. The toon Slash looks derpy.

It's fine, I guess... I'll just have to customize it, if I decide to get it.

My issue is that it seems big bad toy store has this and only offers it in a 4-pack set with raph, Mikey, shredder and leatherhead. I already have the turtles and shredder set that came in the arcade exclusive box from sdcc. Now it’s almost forcing us to get them in a 4-pack and have extra figures that we don’t need. At least when arcade slash came out they gave us the option to buy him single pack as he was the new figure. I don’t like being penalized for already having something and forced to spend more money for no reason. I emailed bbts and they confirmed they would not break up the set and would only offer it in a 4-pack set with the turtles. Anyone found this somewhere else for a fair deal?

The turtles are slightly different (neck has pixelated lines and the back of the bandana is different), plus they come with the boards. If the foot soldier in wave 1 is any indication, the Shredder will be much different, too. Up until the actual in package shots, they were using the sdcc foot soldier for solicitations. The final figure has a much different paint job.

I’ve seen the different paint jobs the foot soldier is different in the eyes etc. my problem is more that we don’t get a choice to buy them single and bbts is essentially forcing us to buy a 4 pack which I don’t agree with. Shredder in the sdcc set was more like standard shredder in the game and the new one is the “super shredder” from the game which is the final shredder you fight before the end of the day so yes colors are different and he’s a bit more buff. But to me the turtles don’t warrant a second purchase and bbts and other specialty outlets should give us the option rather than trying to cash in on us because they know this wave is for specialty stores only.

Now that I'm thinking about it, BBTS offered the 4 pack of two turtles, a footie, and slash, AT FIRST.
Maybe a month later they broke up the 4 pack and offered each individually.
So there is a chance they get sold individually at some point.

Hmmm didn't know that but ya I'm holding strong and avoiding the 4-pack on principle. Is anyone else selling this though? This is supposed to be online/specialty vendors but BBTS seems to be the only one who carries it for pre-order right now.

MEGALOPOLIS has single packs of all the tmnt game characters, Leatherhead, the turtles, footies, shredder. There are a few others sites, dorkside, etc., that carry the 4 pack game turtles other than bbts as well.

Yep just placed my orders for super shredder and leatherhead today on megappolis. Happy they at least had them available in singles.

can you show where they said that? seems very unlike neca to sculpt something and not repaint it at LEAST once.

i'm confused by the leatherhead. why is his weapon pixelated in terms of the sculpt? none of the other figures in the line have pixelated weapons - and the characters themselves don't have pixelated sculpts either. it's so inconsistent.

the pixel paint deco on these is not appealing to me, but the thick, sloppy lines on the cartoon versions aren't appealing to me either. i guess i'll hold out for a third option for the repaints.

I'm glad I gave up on this line last year. Not worth the hassle at this point.

Anyone suggesting going to the secondary market, ebay and such, please try and not do that. The problem with the TMNT line and NECA is that fans rarely get access, it's just scalpers at this point.

Really? The Turtles in Time line is the easiest thing in the world to find. They are in every comics store, most online stores, and basically almost anywhere geeks or nerds congregate. The movie and cartoon turtles are much more difficult to find, and even those I find regularly in my local shopping rounds.
