A little too expensive, $ 120.00, would be fairer, but I will have to buy it anyway =/

RamenRider 02-06-2020 09:06 AM

It’s cool that they are releasing this, but I would’ve preferred a generic Great Ape. Although the accessories with this one are really good – the in-scale mini figures of Goku and Yajirobi especially.

Also, seeing this makes me remember how much it sucks that they are continuing to ignore GT. This would make a fantastic base for a Golden Great Ape Baby Vegeta retool.

As Toriyama said that DB GT is no longer part of DB's history, I think Tamashii will ignore the GT line, which would be really cool.
Although Broly before being canon had 3 figures released, then there's no reason not to launch at least some GT figures like the SSJ 4 or the golden ape

Neoblackdragon 02-06-2020 10:57 AM

I don't see how it's cool to ignore GT. There are plenty of fans of the show.
You can ignore and not buy GT merchandise.
GT is part of DB's history. It just isn't the canon future of DBZ.

DerpingPikachu 02-06-2020 11:00 AM

I don't understand why they'd ignore gt. Even if it's not canon, you can't deny the character designs are really cool and would make some sweet figures. Plus I mean all the other big dbz lines have started doing gt so I really don't see why shf won't.

dukefett 02-06-2020 11:12 AM

I don't even like DB but this looks pretty awesome.

Vex 02-06-2020 11:48 AM

I'd love to see SS4 figures and a Super Baby Vegeta from GT... but we haven't even gotten a Bardock yet and that honestly keeps me up at night.

This Oozaru looks amazing though. I've fallen behind just a bit on the DBZ line. I believe the last figure I purchased was God Vegeta from Broly. I've got some catching up to do!

Fanjos 02-06-2020 12:01 PM

Sorry I expressed it badly, what I meant is that even though Tamashii ignoring the GT series I think it's a shame. because it would be really cool if she released figures from the line I particularly like the GT

Godpocalypse 02-06-2020 03:46 PM

gonna skip, im only gonna get 1 of the great apes, and i thik if this one sells well they'll end up releasing golden great ape baby vegeta...and thats the one i want.

I seriously doubt they'll make a golden great ape. If you're planning on only getting one, get this one to be safe. I have no doubt in my mind it's going to sell faster than any other SHFiguarts release. You'll be able to offload it later for a pretty hefty profit too.

Zabuza 02-07-2020 11:21 AM

I just preordered mine.

I have been waiting for a Great Oozaru figure for years.

This is definettly worthy for collection.

I just need Turles, Raditz and the Super Saiyan 4 figures. Then i can personally retire from this line. Im so glad that this franchise is getting all of this love.

If only something Simmilar can happen to Naruto as far as Figurarts goes. Maybe time will tell but until then, bring on more saiyans and lets go G.T. lets Go!

Zabuza 02-08-2020 08:53 AM

I have one gripe with this figure so far.
I jusy realised that there arnt two heads but two Eye plates.

While its not a deal breaker.I would prefer the seamless look instead of the Obvious eye plate panel.

Take note HasLabs and come better...I will pay for a Galactus or Stranger treated as seriously as this.

So now we SEE the lie clear as day. Their ads showing the digital mock-up show Vegeta coming up to JUST above the knee. Now when we see that actual product we see Vegeta is well above his WAIST!!! That's a HUGE difference in size. I might have to cancel my pre-order on this one...

For that price there is no excuse why it isn't MUCH larger. I have White Beard from One Piece Variable Action Heroes and he's massive and cost less than this.
